ibstylin53 Spending the afternoon with this guy. Lol I picked him up from preschool and tried to go to Magnolia Bird Farm (as promised) to get bird seed for our parakeets....but OOPS, I forgot they're not open Mondays. Do you know how hard it is to explain to a child with sensory issues that we can't do something that was planned? Lol he cried all the way home "I want you to open the bird farm" lol poor kid.
And now I'm contemplating my next moves in life. I am going to be starting classes soon to become a certified aromatherapist. Been looking at schools for awhile and I know where I'm going now. But I've also been thinking about taking classes to become a zone therapist as well. In the next year, my family will be uprooting to move again and the more things I can do, the better. That way as I get Jaxin settled into a school routine, I can slowly start taking on more clients and hopefully get back into the salon. Thoughts? Have you ever been to a zone therapist? I used to go regularly and it was one of the greatest things I ever did for myself.

  •   ibstylin53 It's super good @mikes_girl_ I could eat crackslaw every day because it's so simple to change the flavor with seasonings or change veggies. When I eat dairy, it's yummy with a little sour cream or cheese too. Lol 2d

ibstylin53 I just wanted to share a DDR Prime update on my son. Again, I'm not a doctor. This has been our experience with this oil. For those that don't know our history, I've been using it on my 3 year old with SPD for about a month and a half now. Originally, I started on the recommended speech protocol which is a 25% dilution. It was too strong for him and he was a terror for 2 weeks. I took him off cold turkey to attempt to let his body detox from the oils. I know they dissipate after a few hours, but thought he needed to let the effects clear out. The bad attitude stayed but all of the sudden he started in with major speech perseverating. He couldn't get thru a single word without stuttering thru it. I was able to turn the attitude around instantly with a blend of Elevation, Hawaiian Sandalwood and Cedarwood. And then made the choice to start my son back on DDR to clear the speech. I did a 4% dilution, applied morning and night to the spine and on the spine/brain areas of the feet. By day 4, the perseverating was gone completely. And it was great for about 2.5 weeks. Then he started speech perseverating again. So I increased the dilution slowly over the last week...8%, then 12% and he was still doing it. This morning I just went fully back to 25% and within 5 minutes, his speech was clear again. I just wanted to share this because I know there are many others out there that are going thru this and trying to figure out the correct dilution for their child. Some kids can handle the high dilution to start and others need to work up to it. :) As a side note, he got dressed, shoes and all, completely by himself this morning! 3d

ibstylin53 :) If you use Rx meds, then there's no reason to not believe in the use of essential oils. Where do you think the treatment ideas for drugs come from? 4d

ibstylin53 It's Earth Day and a good time to be thankful for the awesome resources provided to us.
Today, its cool and overcast so I felt like diffusing something to keep it mellow. I never think about using these two in the diffuser (by themselves or with anything) but I pulled them out and they smell great together. I used 4 drops of Aromatouch and 1 drop Patchouli.
What are you diffusing today?

ibstylin53 I love following Carolyn Dalgliesh over on Facebook. She's the author of The Sensory Child Gets Organized and she always has great bits of info to use. One of the best ways to help a child with #spd and any child that falls into the category of having a sensory disorder ( #tourettes #asd #odd#autism#anxiety etc) is to keep them on a very organized routine. And one of the best things we can do as their parents is to just remember that we arent perfect and its a learning process. :) 6d

ibstylin53 Started my organ flush and candida cleanse yesterday with #doterra supplements along with my new round of hcg. The protocol didn't talk about foods to eat or avoid....so my P2 eating should enhance the effects of the supplements. In addition to all the pills I have to take 3 times a day for this, I'm also drinking 2 drops of lemon oil in a glass of water every morning and taking my MSM powder (I HAVE to really be good with this one) and biotin. I am NOT a pill taker. Not that I have an issue with taking them....I'm just really bad at staying on track with taking daily pills. Lol Wish me luck! 1w

  •   pbeanie30 Mine is unexpected. I was blessed with a new grandson on February 18 which just so happened to be my birthday. My husband and I have raised 6 children and are now enjoying our grandchildren. 2d
  •   carolg1214 Motherhood never ends! I am 62 and am still mothering- $$, support, advice, encouragement, and now babysitting for infant grand baby . Even from across the miles, the mother connection is powerful. It a big responsibility and not to be taken lightly. Be assured you will never get it "right" or perfect, especially in your children's eyes. Just give your best 2d
