ianhonest Having a crack at the #whpbwlandscapes challenge... This is kilt rock on the isle of Skye, so called because it's supposed to resemble the pleats in a kilt. Looks like a homage to monument valley doesn't it? There was no interesting sky at all, just an even grey tone. 5d

ianhonest My last picture was a massive scene, so I thought I would go for the opposite with this post... This is a dragonflys face.. He looks like a cute cartoon dog I think... Anyhoo, I don't think I can get much closer than this 1w
  •   birkesrule I think my neighbours think I'm either nuts or really nosey I'm always in weird places and positions ..some not so flattering 1w
  •   ianhonest @acutim well worth a little wander down the canal especially when the trees don't have leaves on... A squillion birds live down there. 1w
  •   ianhonest @birkesrule ha, even my wife thinks I'm nuts.. She just left me to go to bed whilst trying to catch a decent moon pic 1w
  •   sky_sultans Ah so cute! :D 1w
  •   ianhonest Ha, only of you are bigger than it @sky_sultans 1w
  •   lizzie_bx His smiling Ian. Cute guy. Fantastic capture dear friend! :)→☆★☆← 1w

ianhonest Im starting to see the ducks and geese flock together on the Humber which is a certain sign that Autumn is on its way... the swallows that I saw last weekend have gone already... I got loads of nice swallow shots but I might wait to post them. 1w

ianhonest Do you know what this is? I didn't until I looked it up. It's a baby robin... Just going out into the world, & not yet got his red breast. By the time winter arrives we will all recognise him but for now, he is in disguise... 2w

ianhonest I'm going to post three bird shots which kind of symbolise the changing of the season in Great Britain from Summer to Autumn. These are young swallows preparing for their long flight to Africa. They were sat about 4 feet from me when I took this 2w

ianhonest Another go at the #angelofthenorth ... isnt there a hashtag for tiny people in large places? 2w

ianhonest A rainbow in the sky over #Skye ... I actually fell over taking this... 2w

ianhonest Another post of #eileandonan castle in #Scotland I am trying some black & white moodiness... 3w

ianhonest Ever seen cows on a beach before? Me either... The blurry ness in the background isn't a blur, it's a cloudburst & it made across the water I'm about three minutes. If you like mountains in the background, you can pretty much point in any direction on #Skye & you will get them 3w

ianhonest Just having a pop at todays skystalking challenge... some rare mammalus cloudage from near my back garden... 3w

ianhonest The cloudage on Skye was frankly weird. Clouds could stick to the mountaintops for the whole day, but a rain cloud could. Move several miles in a couple if minutes if they spotted a dry tourist... 3w

ianhonest So amongst the wildlife we saw in & around Skye was eagles & a sea eagle, stags and these fellas common seals... I didn't manage a decent eagle or stag shot but the seals were a bit more amenable 3w

ianhonest Well, I have returned from Skye. & am trying to catch up with you all. The only thing I can say about Skye is, I think it is the most dramatic scenery I have ever seen. My son described it as "Great Britain in a nutshell, & I think that is probably a very good description. If you ever get the opportunity, take it. My new lottery dream is to chuck my job, buy a house & studio there & try & make a go of it as a photographer... Anyhoo, until then... 4w

ianhonest Why are us IGers obsessed with dragonflys? My theory is because they are so damned hard to capture, anyhoo, I think I hypnotised this little sucker with her own reflection allowing me to grab a rare (for me) macro shot 1mon
