hvithvalt The Black Dahlia Murder - Miasma CD.

From the massive intro Built For Sin through to classic singles like Statutory Ape, A Vulgar Picture and then on to the best song they ever wrote, Miscarriage. This album is a perfect slab of metal.

  •   bass_mint @hvithvalt i got ritual when it came out and everblack i like miasma better though 18h
  •   hvithvalt @bass_mint Miasma is my favourite album by them! I'm going to try and get the deluxe version of Ritual because it was cool as fuck! 18h
  •   bass_mint @hvithvalt I've never seen the deluxe version do they got it on vinyl 16h
  •   hvithvalt @bass_mint it's the cd in a presentation box with a ouija board and witchcraft items for a ritual! 16h
  •   bass_mint @hvithvalt That's sick. Reminds me of when pig destroyer included a lighter with book burner i got 2 copies of bb the reg and deluxe but not on vinyl wish i did 16h
  •   hvithvalt @bass_mint that's cool! I've got the vinyl version of book burner because they had sold out of CDs at their merch stall weirdly enough 15h
  •   bass_mint U bastard:) I'm jealous u got the vinyl and see PD live I've never seen them live they're one of my favorite grind bands 15h

hvithvalt The Black Dahlia Murder - Unhallowed CD.

In a pretty strange mood today so I need something that shreds to shake it off. I bought this relatively unknown album at the time when I was 16 and was hooked instantly on the total At The Gates worship!

  •   chrisxhull Great album. You have a good time at spiders dude. 24h
  •   hvithvalt @chrisxhull don't you know it! Yeah it was pretty good man 24h
  •   chrisxhull Sweet mayyynnnn. 24h
  •   marvthewizard This the album with the song where they are playing silly bastards in a graveyard? 23h
  •   hvithvalt @marvthewizard haha yeah man, that video is ace! 23h
  •   marvthewizard Yeh good song 23h
  •   jamesandrewlee They technically improved as they went on, and they've made some stunning records after this (Hello 'Ritual'), but Unhallowed will always be my favourite. A perfect mix of Slaughter Of The Soul and Heartwork, and all the lyrics are about monsters! What's not to love! 23h
  •   hvithvalt @jamesandrewlee Nailed it man, this album has certainly got that sound down to a tee And that intro track absolutely slays every time it gets played! 23h

hvithvalt Nachtmystium - Demise CD

One from my caseless collection. I fucking hate that junkie rip-off piece of shit Blake Judd, but I love his music and this is a prime slice of lo-fi black metal from early in their career.

  •   thebradyqueen @hvithvalt Are you planning to see Sir Steve Howe of Holloway on his U.K solo tour? He's playing a sold out show at St. Marys Church! 3d
  •   hvithvalt @thebradyqueen Not this time around unfortunately, I don't have the money at the moment and I saw him less than a year ago when he played my hometown thankfully 3d
  •   thebradyqueen @hvithvalt Aaah yeah that makes sense.. I can barely afford to see The 1975 at their second Kansas City performance in Nov. Had a great time seeing him with Yes back in August, played Mood For A Day like a champ! 3d
  •   hvithvalt @thebradyqueen they actually played a free show in my hometown last year, I was working/being a shut in at the time so I didn't catch them. I'm literally jealous of anyone that's seen Yes, I've never had the chance to go and see them for various reasons 3d
  •   thebradyqueen @hvithvalt Obviously theyre not as talented live 35+ years ago, but I was eight rows down from the stage and they were incredible. Geoff Downes restored my faith in him as a keyboardist and Alan White proved to be good as well, who actually lives in the U.S (Seattle Washington) 3d
  •   evigfrost666 Blake is a piece of shit. Too bad he helped write some good stuff. 2d
  •   hvithvalt @evigfrost666 Very true, it's a shame a lot of BM musicians are assholes because they're truly talented people. 2d

hvithvalt Converge - All We Love We Leave Behind digisleeve CD.

Converge's latest album was a serious grower, it took me so long to get into it, but it was certainly worth my time!
3d
  •   bleedingxheadphones This was the album that got me back into them. Didn't care for no heros so I skipped axe to fall. Funny how shit like that happens, I love no hero's now and axe to fall is pretty good too. 3d
  •   hvithvalt @bleedingxheadphones I think No Heroes was a real downer for the band and it put off a lot of people even though it's a decent album, it certainly made me approach their other material with caution but luckily they've always released decent stuff. 3d
  •   cultofthecavebear This is as close to Stadium Rock as Converge will get... That's not a criticism! 3d
  •   hvithvalt @cultofthecavebear yeah I know where you're coming from man 3d
  •   jamesandrewlee I still can't get on board with AWLWLB, and I any even figure out why! I absolutely love Aimless Arrow and Coral Blue, but aside from those two I think it's Converge's weakest material certainly since No Heroes (which again, has some stormers on it but wasn't as good as the albums either side if it). Again, just my shitty opinion! 3d
  •   hvithvalt @jamesandrewlee What about Trespasses! It's basically Cutter pt. II! and Glacial Pace, ugh it's so bloody good man! It took me a while but I'm hooked on it now 3d
  •   jamesandrewlee There are good songs on it for sure, as a whole I just think it's a step down from Axe To Fall. 3d

hvithvalt Converge - Axe to Fall digisleeve CD.

When this first came out, I declared it to my good friend @beneskrett to be the best Converge record since Jane Doe and why not, this record is killer and contains uber thrash song Cutter on it, another of my all time favourite tracks by them!

hvithvalt Converge - You Fail Me Digipak CD.

This is where it really took off for Converge, it received a lot of mainstream coverage compared to their other material. 'Black Cloud' is still one of my favourite songs of all time after all these years.

  •   chrisxhull Fucking @beneskrett rant about Converge saw that coming from the first comment. 4d
  •   beneskrett @chrisxhull tut, shurrup Wallybabes. You better be going to Temples next year! 4d
  •   hvithvalt @beneskrett @chrisxhull I've convinced to do damnation so I'm pretty sure he'll do temples if I make him 4d
  •   chrisxhull @beneskrett and Dane what month is it next year? 4d
  •   chrisxhull You never convinced me to do damnation this year I was going anyway man. 4d
  •   hvithvalt May/June? @chrisxhull 4d
  •   chrisxhull Yeah just seen end of May yeah I'm there. I had to make sure it was a new year for holiday allocation at work or I'd not 've there but it's fine being past April :) 4d
  •   forthegreatbluecoldnowreigns Drop out man, that's a hell of a song in a hell of an album. I call masterpiece on this one 2d

hvithvalt Converge - Jane Doe slipcase CD.

The ultimate Converge record that all their others have been judged against since. This turned from cult classic to everybody's favourite album within the space of about 3/4 years and their popularity has soared ever since.

hvithvalt Converge/Hellchild - Deeper The Wound CD.

The first release I bought by them back when I was 15, I thought it was insane and the only similar band I'd heard was TDEP at the time! The Hellchild side is cool as fuck as well and got me into the Sludge genre, a defining moment for teenage me.

hvithvalt Agoraphobic Nosebleed/Converge - The Poacher Diaries CD.

This split has always felt weird to me, ANb aren't very fast and have loads of groove and Converge are majorly progressive. It's still great especially to hear something different from both bands.

hvithvalt Slipknot - Live At Download digipak 2xDVD.

Slipknot live is always something good to watch and this doesn't disappoint in the slightest, it's also got another of Shawn's behind the scene films and all their later music videos.

hvithvalt Slipknot - Volume 3: The Subliminal Verses CD.

Aside from the singles, I didn't really like this album at all, I couldn't get to grips with how different it sounded from the previous two albums. Years later, I gave it a spin again and realised how wrong I was.

hvithvalt Slipknot - Iowa 10th anniversary digipak 2xCD/DVD.

Fuck it, I may as well post the expanded edition, this is awesome just for how well presented it is, but the DVD is cracking, Shawn really know how's to capture the band in it's purest form.

hvithvalt Slipknot - Iowa original press CD.

I'm in a shitty mood and that means this needs cracking on. It was the first metal CD I ever bought (not the first I ever listened to) and it went straight to No.1 in the UK album charts. It's a straight classic nowadays which is weird thinking that it was just my angry jam back when I was 14

hvithvalt Slipknot - Slipknot digipak CD.

One of the rawest and hardest mainstream metal debuts ever, I could never get bored of listening to it!
