hobbes2485 I go places I might think you'll be.

I saw these words over the weekend. They were strung up by yarn and held close to a wall as they had cast a shadow of emphasis upon the phrase. I stood and stared at it for quite sometime. Trying to decipher if it was creepy or sincere. As I left, I came to the conclusion that perhaps it didn't mean actually looking for someone particular, it meant finding yourself. Enjoying what you love to do in life and then one day you will find someone else enjoying these same moments as well. Pure-honest, genuine first encounters, because taking my neighbors puppy to the dog park while reading novels just doesn't seem to be the answer. But I'll probably try that again. Nobody likes a quitter.

hobbes2485 Fearless on my breath.

My sister thought this was creepy and told me that I can't post this after a deer photo. She said, "It's like drinking orange juice after you brush your teeth." For one reason or another I usually visit it when I'm on the east side. It's just quite fascinating to me. It's irresistible.

hobbes2485 The Littlest Coal. @littlecoal "They say it’s lonely at the top, and it’s because everyone up there is flying higher and higher. They say that success breeds success, so the higher you go the higher you go as long as you keep your sights upward. You’re on your own. And you know what you know. And you are the one who’ll decide where to go.” -Dr. S

Special thanks to Eric for letting me experience the world from above for one brief moment. It felt larger than life.

hobbes2485 When I was young
I never needed anyone
And making love was just for fun
Those days are gone
Livin' alone
I think of all the friends I've known
When I dial the telephone
Nobody's home

Owl by myself
Don't wanna be
Owl by myself
Anymore...

hobbes2485 Blue skies and arcades. I'll put a quarter in that.

Thanks for sticking with me. It's been great having a break. I appreciate it very much.
Btw- I'm on periscope (Ershants). Although I have no idea what I'm doing, I look forward to the fun side of it. If you like people who dance in one piece pajamas, magic tricks, cat videos, or aimless walks in the parks- I'm it. It's all for the fun of connecting.

Looking forward to enjoying every second of this beautiful day. Enjoy yours!!

hobbes2485 Andy's Tree.

Happy Easter! Today, I had a ham sandwich and I spent four hours on Periscope watching someone from NY groom a cat but at least baseball finally started. I need that.

hobbes2485 I learned a few things today and questioned some. 1. Asking garden stores if they have those "mirror ball thingys " is as awkward as it sounds. 2. Eventually after the second store, I found out they are called gazing balls (equally awkward) and apparently they are no longer "popular". That's what Edna said (a garden pro at Larry's Garden Supply 'N Such.) 3. It's nearly impossible to get a shot in a gazing mirror ball if it's not glass. I knew this but desperately wanted a challenge. 4. This is the first time I didn't wear a coat outside in five months and it felt as great as I remembered. 5. If I add a hashtag to an old photo five minutes ago to a photo of me with my cat and add the hashtag #imasinglemanwithacatwhathappenedtomylife and it had 400 tags but I am now the first one. Do I own that hashtag now and is that a sad thing? 6. Lastly, does this gazing ball make my hands look girly?

I've always had a passion for seeing the same things differently/better in life- each and every day. I truly enjoy that aspect in life. #ericlearnsthings #iphoneshooteronly

hobbes2485 Sound allows creativity and imagination to take control when your visibility is limited. We can close our eyes and visualize a moment in time that was meaningful and transport back in time to rekindle meaningful memories. I wanted to recreate a sound that was important to me. A sound that would remind me of my family that once worked for C&O and CSX. A time when I could go back to my childhood home and hear the trains at night from my bedroom window. I wanted to create a moment of comfort and listen with my eyes closed. This was how I chose to do it. This was my moment to convey audio and sound in a simple form. Although forcing air through the tiny opening in a glass bottle didn't sound exactly like the old train yards, it gave a wonderful interpretation of sound that made me feel like a kid again. We all need that moment.

hobbes2485 Yesterday I tied three sweatshirts together and attached them to two water coolers at work. They asked what I was doing and I said "Dreaming of being here". 4w

hobbes2485 Tonight, I went on an unscripted drive through the country roads of NW Ohio. This is something I love to do as I head in no particular direction and often have to Google map where I am. Tonight was particularly chilly and just before sunset, I started heading home and then I finally saw the farmhouse on county rd 8.

This was my first time ever driving by and I was intrigued. There's an old legend that this house was owned by Mr. And Mrs. Orwig in the 1800's. A quiet little farmhouse that they lived in their entire lives. It was built and maintained merely on love. The Orwig's wed here and had all seven children in this home. They provided for their family off this very land and after Mr. Orwig passed away in the late 1890's, Mrs. Orwig was devastated. Although, she was saddened by her loss, she could never part from the house. She made her family promise that this house would never part and it would live on forever, like the love for her husband. Although some find it rather intimidating these days, the locals say it's strong willed and has withstood the test of time by something greater than they can explain. What stands now doesn't look like it did then but they say you can feel something in the air that resonates from true committed; endless love.

hobbes2485 This place smells like chicken wings and Pabst Blue Ribbon (you know what I mean if you've been here) but it's a great hidden place in NW Ohio. I just hope no one saw me wading in my bare feet with my jeans up to my knees while wearing a winter jacket and hat. Big thanks to @littlecoal for getting me out of the house before the snow made another visit. More days like this real soon. To be continued.. 4w

hobbes2485 Alright, I'll be the one to say it. WWIM's are overwhelming. That's a good thing (I guess). I can't tell if I enjoyed it but I know I was absolutely happy to be there. In fact, it was amazing to see the growth as people from all over the country made their way to Toledo. What I tried to capture here was what I felt in my heart. People from all walks of life were there for the same purpose. Literally, we were all in the same "spot" and we saw different things. However, we truly appreciated one another's view and combined them to become one during this day of friendship with common interests. This is my friend @loganbrown98 helping to interpret friendships and photography on a day when many usernames were turned into first names in NW Ohio. 1mon

hobbes2485 In a "foto funk" lately but I'm embracing what it brings and the moments away. Hopefully with a little help from the Toledo group at the #wwimtoledo Sat, things will start to look up and I'll find what once inspired me, again. 1mon

hobbes2485 A peep into Spring.

Today felt, looked and tasted kind of like spring. 40 in Ohio in early March is very different than 40 in early November. It was as if no one was inside. It's a celebration where parks are filled and Summertime by Will Smith is jamming from the guy next to me on my drive to the park as our windows were cracked slightly for the first time in five months.
PS. It's still light out.
Also, if you were thinking it, it's true. I did hit rock bottom with a spring time Peep photo. Also, to the couple that asked what I was doing and then told me I had pink sugar coated lips - yes that was awkward.

hobbes2485 The parks are flooded. Obviously, that's not great news but that means spring is closer. So, we took R&R Sunday elsewhere. It felt like spring. We could feel our hands and that's why I love living here, we appreciate the change. More than anything. We need this.

@loganbrown98 @ethan23brown and I went out for a bit near home. Two great people with optimism and enthusiasm that strives me to get outside. I need that.

Thanks, extra late hour. You made me happy.
