hobbes2485 I kik'ed this original photo over to my good friend @sheerjenius yesterday, and I simply said; "Do your thang, girl." I can honestly say that Jen is a true friend. She seems like a person who would tell me if I had a dab of ketchup on the crack of my mouth or would mask my horrible singing by joining along. She's been a blessing to me and if you aren't following her, your feed lacks something you can now find. Although far away in Vancouver, she's supported me like a neighbor. Originally, the only things I knew about Vancouver, were 1. Poutine. 2. Pavel Bure in Sega NHLPA hockey 3. They thought getting an NBA team was a good idea. But now, it's a place I hope to visit due to a feed like hers.
Thanks, Jen for making this photo look exactly like it felt. You edited Ohio perfectly.

I grew up walking the tracks to get to school (don't try that kids). We had about a hundred yards of steel rail and we tried to make it the entire distance without falling off. We called it the "impossible". It's humbling to know that I've now been doing the impossible my entire life and I never stop trying.

hobbes2485 I hope you find what you're lookin for when it all comes running down the lips of your lovers frown. So I'll cover my ears, my eyes, pretend that loves the same.
So god if you can hear me crash this train. -Joshua James (love that song). #perksofworkingonasaturdaymorning

hobbes2485 It was just a matter of time before I "looked" back into the mirror after the WHP. I brushed myself off and here I am. This is Cesar Chavez. It's an amazing mural here in Toledo, Ohio. I thought about what I'd like to do next and I felt like #capturingapainting felt fit for now. It may not look like much, but doing this blindfolded more or less until I captured him took me forever. In fact my back hurts but it was worth it. I think it would look great on my wall. #toledopride 6d

hobbes2485 I grew up here playing baseball. 10-12 yrs old. It was and still is one of the best fields I've ever been to. Lights, dugouts, grass infield, lawn mover combs the infield, PA system and electronic scoreboard. For all we knew, it was Fenway. To this day, we still talk about these experiences. I'd give away every treat ticket I ever had to play just one full inning again. Baseball will always be my first love. I grew up as a little kid falling to sleep to Indians games on the radio, it's a simple joy that I still long for.
Ps. You don't throw a knuckleball with your knuckles. It's your fingertips.

  •   michelle_crd This is serious right here. I love it. I've been on the other end of this shot taking high school seniors, kinda scary, but oh, so worth it. Reminds me of Sandlot. Wonder what character you'd have been?? Those are definitely the memories that last F-o-r-e-v-e-r! 2d
  •   thelifeof_chelle Even though I don't like baseball, it's a great shot. I have to say that Sandlot is one of my favourite movies. 1d

hobbes2485 Everyone has his/her favorite feeds. It's astonishing to me how beauty and intrigue varies to the eye of the beholder. There are several that I love and this is one. @fullhouse4. To me, Tamara's feed is like a Sunday morning on the porch. Slight breeze, newspaper, cup of coffee, subtle hint of sun on your face and all while you have nothing planned for the rest of the day. Sometimes when I feel overwhelmed, I scroll through her feed. It's just (in a good way) beauty in such a simple form. Very midwest/Americana. I can feel something as if I were there. The wide open fields and crisp air. I want to be there and that is what makes a feed impressive to me. I typically do not do this, so I want you to know this is genuine. This mother of four is doing something right on Instagram and that inspires me. I'm grateful she let me slap a few filters on just one of her amazing photos. It was a real honor. If you have a second, just go say hi and if you see what I see, then just maybe you'll want to follow along in her amazing journey. 1w

hobbes2485 After work today, I went out to O2 to the 15 mile scout trail. (I've never been). I would have walked the entire distance but since I think socks are the enemy, I wasn't prepared. I thought for a bit as to why I loved being alone in the middle of nowhere and I came to the quick conclusion that I never have to make a decision. A single path guides me and I can easily just "be". But I'll tell you what, I miss those decisions I once ran from - you know: "Where do you want to eat?" "I don't care." "No, seriously; I'll eat anywhere." "Me too." "You pick. "No, you pick." "Chinese?" "I just had Chinese." "Italian?" "Yuk." You know, I'm not really hungry." "You just said you were starving." "I am" "What?" Let's watch a movie instead." "Ok, Which one?" I miss that. It's strange. 1w
  •   michelle_crd How about I finish my comment before I hit send? Bittersweet. First, feet need to breathe. Secondly, there's nothing like having the freedom to go where you want, whenever you want, with whomever you choose. I'm finding this out now, while I'm finding myself. For me, freedom is an incredible feeling, nothing like it. It's like breathing for the first time when you've been denied it. As intoxicating as it is, I still have an innate needing to belong. To something. To someone. I'm curbing those needs as best as I can because I'm learning to be comfortable in my own skin, but those once meaningless conversations and inside jokes that are only understood between you and one other person on this planet - I miss them too. Lastly, pick a comedy. It was always my first choice. 1w
  •   hobbes2485 @michelle_crd ️I agree!! 1w
  •   kml413 I can totally relate to this! Definitely captured the beauty in the moment! 1w
  •   jdolphin69 Me too. Its hard being alone. Even though I'm not really alone, i have my two kids. But i miss having a significant other to do things with and be there when i get home from work. But my kids definitely keep me busy!! And as always great pic!! 1w
  •   nelou This made me laugh, so true!!! I can make them all day long for someone else, but I like the idea of "indecision is the key to flexibility..." personally ;) 1w
  •   _krsmith I love every single thing about this. Especially the caption. 1w
  •   jockon Thats an excellent capture 1w
  •   carolynfaust The moments that you fill with others have to be the "right " others, then all is well. Great insight! Great photo ! 6d

hobbes2485 So don't let go, don't change your mind. If the stars fall into the oceanside -Someone pull the ribbons from my eyes free

My soul
Let it roll away
On an invisible riverside

I wanna lay my head
Forever on your shoulder
Stay with me my love
Now and when we're older
Standing on the ocean
We got nothing now but time

hobbes2485 A. This could be the next "it" tag. Move over #ilovetaylorswift.

B. If you raise your right hand in the air and slightly move it up and down and repeatedly say bikesandshadows, bikesandshadows, bikesandshadows - you've got a new techno song.

You know you tried it.
#bikesandshadows "I want to see something no one else would if we all stood in the same spot."

hobbes2485 We started off in Chicago with a great instameet for #chitecture and I had no complaints. Not even with the torrential downpour. At first, I figured "we'll that was about a $40 coffee", but I braved it as much as I could and enjoyed the city with old glory as we were both drenched and a bit out of sorts. Still an incredible sight for these then tired old eyes. 2w

hobbes2485 Fame- I'm gonna live forever. Chicago was a chaotic ball of go, go, go.. I think we walked about ten hours per day. On the last morning, @scott.free @benmorales and @littlecoal and I were determined to get to the bean as early as possible to get a "non crowded shot". As we pulled up, it looked empty but out of nowhere, around thirty ballerinas, were twirling and doing their "thang" around it. Great..,right? I told LittleCoal we have three options: 1. We wait it out or come back another time. 2. He chases me frantically around the bean to suggest subtle chaos and they get startled and leave or 3. We make these gals pose. Let's be honest, I didn't have coffee yet, number two was out.. This was my final answer. 2w
