heyfilmthis Filmers will usually do anything to get clips, so when the talents sore, you gotta loosen them up. @grantyansyrup goes the extra mile to get @karstenkleppan warmed up. 2w

heyfilmthis Here's to learning tricks first try, happy birthday @slj1000 2w
  •   nateilardi S-Log2? 1w
  •   heyfilmthis @nateilardi no, I think PP1 cine 2 (I think) I stay away from slog during the middle of the day, with a fisheye. 1w
  •   smukal Hey Jason, I'm planning to update to a full frame camera and I was wondering why you choose the 8-15mm fisheye instead of just a 12mm or 14mm prime. Thanks 1w
  •   heyfilmthis @smukal 8-15 because it will work with MFT, APS-C, and FF, basically more bang for your buck, 4K,6K,8K etc... 🏽🏽 1w
  •   smukal Great! Thanks 1w
  •   mais_dias @cillethomsen skate list 5d

heyfilmthis Quick and compact is key
@thinktankphoto "airport take off" @freeflysystems "M5" of course it was easier back in the day with less gear, but it's not back in the day anymore

heyfilmthis @eazyhandle came up with a great way to mount your RED monitor to the camera. One Allen key screw (same tool that works with our handles) will move the RED monitor from a compact point (directly above the lens mount, bottom right photo) or 3-5 inches of wiggle room left or right (two other photos) So you can position the monitor wherever works best for you. When the monitor is in the compact position it can stay on he camera and pack away easily.
Thanks dad!

heyfilmthis First night back on my board since I broke my elbow, and this is what I came home to. I really hope it was a driving accident, and not malicious. 1mon
  •   sk8camkilla Dang thanks for the response I'm a big fan of your Luv for Sk8ing and your work over @nikesb hopefully you can continue to guide skateboarding to a humble/peaceful direction. I can help. Setting a good example to the younger generation through skateboarding is a lifetime goal of mine. @heyfilmthis @espn @nike @pti I'd like to interview Jason Hernandez. Hey Jason one more question for now: did you have surgery on your elbow when you broke it? ️ bless 1mon
  •   heyfilmthis No surgery for now, I am waiting till I edit the next Chronicles because I'll be stuck in the editing room. I am having them go in and clean it up, lots of bone spurs, and fragments hanging around from two different dislocation and the break. @sk8camkilla 1mon
  •   zanonivictor No, that place was fun :( @heyfilmthis 4w

heyfilmthis What do you do when it rains in Washington, you skate @corykennedy local skatepark. This line was totally spontaneous and wasn't planned. @erickoston @juan_fitzgerald @nikesb #chronicles3 #rain 2mon
  •   darwinkcmo I love my Eazy handle V2 ️... @heyfilmthis 2mon
  •   mcnamarafilm @heyfilmthis what lens do you use for zoom shots like this? 24-105? 2mon
  •   heyfilmthis Handheld with the Canon 70-200 getting all wet @mcnamarafilm 2mon
  •   mcnamarafilm @heyfilmthis looks good. Do you ever have trouble maintaining focus while zooming with it? 2mon
  •   heyfilmthis Definitely, only in certain circumstances though. If the skaters coming at me/away and my f-stop is low, if I am filming side to side it's easier. I typically shoot at a low f-stop, so I zoom in or out focus where I'd like to be during the trick, and try to hit my mark. @mcnamarafilm 2mon
  •   mcnamarafilm @heyfilmthis Always wondered how people pulled that off. Wouldn't this mean that the shot is out of focus until you zoom in or out or is it not noticeable? Have you tried the sony 28-135 f4? I've read it maintains focus while zooming. 2mon
  •   heyfilmthis The Sony is a par-focal lens, maintaining focus through the zoom or zoom out. For the 70-200 it's not super noticeable as long as the situation works. @mcnamarafilm 2mon
