heatherbethune Entitlement is a lie I have believed. It doesn't breed gratefulness, because it believes it deserves all that it has AND MORE. Envy, strife and comparison are its close friends. ---
Reality check: I deserve absolutely nothing. I have been loved and known and waited on, just because Someone chose me. Not because I earned it. ---
Peace. Patience. Joy. Present for the little moments. Welcome: overflowing thankfulness and wonder at all I have been given. Welcome to all the moments today just waiting to live this out in.

heatherbethune The best things about our home are the features that invite us to bring others IN & equip us to get OUT often. I love the picture of our home as both a haven and a springboard: safe place to retreat into and a good place to jump from. #houseandhome #citylivingwithkids #urbanchildhood #Cincinnati #thisisotr 2w

heatherbethune Hey Cincy/NKY! I'm a huge fan of local food. Join our family in purchasing weekly milk & cream from a small family farm in Ohio (you can also order delicious eggs and other seasonal goods like maple syrup, strawberries, produce, etc. once you are part of the milk herdshare). Email me for info: herdsharequestionsforheather@gmail.com

  •   lauren.corso How much are the eggs? I'd love to support a local farm and live downtown. 3w
  •   heatherbethune @lauren.corso hi! The eggs are only available if you become part of the "herd share" - it's the legal way to have part ownership in a dairy farm and receive the fresh milk (without it being pasteurized, homogenized or treated in any way). So if you don't want any milk or cream (just eggs) then the farmers market is a better option for you (I know there's one at Fountain Square weekly and will be a weekly one at Smale Park by the riverfront this summer!). Eggs are $4/dozen. Email me with any other questions! 3w
  •   elizabethjaderodak @heatherbethune just emailed you! 3w

heatherbethune Over three years ago we visited this place for the first time. Cincinnati surprised me with the way her land moves and rolls almost right up to the banks of the Ohio River. Still one of my favorite features of this city. Lookout points and beautiful views abound. #thisisotr 4w

heatherbethune One little monkey still at the table. 1mon
  •   kaitlinclare I want to see more pictures of your urban oasis 1mon
  •   barefootmommie I'm in awe of your space and complete lack of clutter. Can you walk to the grocery store? How often do you go? And yes to @kaitlinclare 's request for more pics! 1mon
  •   heatherbethune I should take some "tour" pix- b/c it is a lovely space and also b/c it does have real life clutter in the corners. I'll get on it, ladies. @barefootmommie @kaitlinclare 1mon
  •   heatherbethune RE: grocery shopping @barefootmommie I can walk to a Kroger, a small conscience gourmet deli & a "general store" type place- that sells dish soap & cloth diapers (should I ever decide to go back)! I usually buy my bulk meat outside of my walking zone but I pick up our milk & eggs from a farmer who delivers to the neighborhood. Once I find a CSA I'll could get 90% of our food without having to drive anywhere (and I suppose if I had the meat shipped from places like Tropical Traditions that could cover the other 10%). I am trying out the approach of less meal planning and more daily trips for small ingredients to make dinner...the last 2 weeks that way have gone well. I love *having* to walk for dinner supplies almost daily b/c it gets us out and active a LOT. 1mon

heatherbethune The other night @levibethune and I made the spontaneous decision to eat sandwiches and breakfasty things for dinner this summer.
Less prep time = more time outside & adventuring (or napping ). I doubt it will hold up 100% but I look forward to trying.
