gnomeangel I've been thinking a lot about goals and achieving your dreams lately and I believe this is one of the keys to success. Everyone has self doubt (even Beyoncé and Oprah) the difference between those that succeed and those that don't - they believe they can even when they think they can't. You need to push past the self doubt and chase your dreams hard. 6h
  •   topsygirl So true 6h
  •   kateburge_ I'm chasing my dreams hard! The dreams that come from laying down on my pillow. They're calling me right now! Gooooood night! 😴 6h
  •   nightingalequilts You're my confidence without you I would still be sitting in a dark room with only a sewing machine to keep me company 5h
  •   tiedwitharibbon A great reminder! Need to say this 10 times a day! 5h
  •   kakiofhoneyhill Such a timely message for me. Thanks for giving me the push I need to be a rockstar today! 5h
  •   thesewingchick So true, thank you for the encouragement!! 5h
  •   modquiltgirl_anna True, but I'm still trying to figure out what my dream really is! And when is there time for reflection on that? 5h
  •   janeanfrandsen Thank you so much for this! I really needed to hear it. I'm in the middle of making a dream come true and the self doubt is real. I must believe! 4h

gnomeangel Sending this little parcel of joy out into the world tomorrow and wishing nothing but goodness will come of it. 8h
  •   nightingalequilts I hope so too 7h
  •   vintageglorybox Oh that is one of my favourites!! 7h
  •   lorena_in_syd Agh. Just remembered your little parcel. Thank you Angie I had a mean migraine yesterday and my brain goes to mush for a couple of days after. Love the three fabrics. They will come in very handy. Xx 7h
  •   fairlymerry What a nice thought 7h
  •   quiltsonroute66 Aren't you special! Such thoughtfulness! We should clone you ;) 7h
  •   gnomeangel @lorena_in_syd I'm so glad it got there (have been having issues with @auspost lately) - hope you're heads clear again soon. Can't wait to see how you use them (no pressure). 7h
  •   kateburge_ What is it?!?!?!?! 7h

gnomeangel Here's my tip of the day - ready for it - hope you're sitting down its a doozie gotta make a store a heap of binding at once, use an empty fabric bolt to wind it on and store it (you can even write next to each one what quilt it's for). Don't have an empty bolt I'm sure your LQS or local craft chain would have spares you could ask for. Gold right?!? Here's my thought for the day as well (it's a two for one!) black and white stripe seems to be a classic go to for binding why don't fabric companies sell it as a jelly roll? Would make our lives heaps easier. If they're not sure what size stripe to use they can check out @redpepperquilts preferred option and go with that (cause we all concede she is the Queen of B&W stripe binding - perfection!). So how about it @robertkaufman @michaelmillerfabrics @artgalleryfabrics @modafabrics 😀😀😀 13h
  •   mummahump I do like your idea, but I'll stick with my toilet roll necklace, because that's how I roll. #style and all. But, I am all up for stripey jelly rolls, that shit is giving me ideas already, but not just for binding 12h
  •   espritpatch Such a great idea 11h
  •   sewgiving Genius jelly roll idea!! 11h
  •   16razzyrose16 What a great idea. 10h
  •   wherejanecreates Such a good idea!! 10h
  •   chainofdaisies Looove 7h
  •   thequiltingmill A jelly roll like that would sell like hotcakes. 6h
  •   amagmom Here here 60min

gnomeangel Tagged by @sameliasmum I show my #authenticstudiochallenge - this is it. I like to keep it fairly organised and tidy - it's the only part of the house that I can keep this way for any period of time and so I tend to be a little OCD about it. I'm tagging @snippets101 @sunflowerquilting @hellofromcat @jolovestoquilt 14h

gnomeangel Thanks @hillscass - I've listed after this fabric from afar for so long!!! Thank you!!! 1d
  •   bluebeehive Beautiful gift, beautiful fabric! 1d
  •   riamdesigns This is gorgeous fabric @gnomeangel. Are you able to tell me the name of it and who designed/produces it and/or the name of the shop @hillscass found it in? I wish you still had your online shop as I would have purchased lots of this from you if you stocked it. I managed to get some beautiful fabrics from you, some of which I love so much I'm saving for 'special' projects. You chose great fabrics. 😀 1d
  •   gnomeangel @riamdesigns hi Lisa! It's a Denyse Schmdit print and I'm pretty sure @hillscass found it in her local spotlight. We've just gotten some DS in our store, so if I see any of this ill snag you some. I miss the store too, maybe one day it'll come back in a bigger and better form - just too much on my plate at the moment to do it all. Hope you're feeling better and crafting up a storm! 1d
  •   gnomeangel @hillscass quilt backs in this would be lush! I'd totally forgotten about it being part of the DS collection in Spotties atm. Thanks Cass for being my cheerleader - I need it more than you know! 1d
  •   hillscass Always my pleasure babe!!! I know you got my back when it counts! 1d
  •   riamdesigns Thanks @gnomeangel - it's been a hard and long road, but starting to return to 'normal'. Starting to sew again, slowly. I've started my dillybag, and should have it finished by end of Oct; a little late for the #dillybagalong, but good for me considering. I understand about the shop - goodness you have a toddler. I remember those days and the 'busyness' of it all. 😀 1d
  •   hillscass @riamdesigns this is a very old print now, it was on clearance in our spotlight. 21h
  •   riamdesigns Thanks @hillscass - next time I'm at my local Spotlight (1 hour away) I'll see if they have any hidden amongst the bolts on bolts. 😀 17h

gnomeangel All this binding means 2 things: 1. I've got a lot of finishes coming up and B. I'm really procrastinating from some other tasked because I really dislike making binding. #aquilterslifeforme 3d

  •   sewinlovequilting Smarty pants! 3d

  •   girlofmanycolors Your quilt is absolutely stunning!!! I it!!! 3d
  •   moremiriam Clever! 2d
  •   modernhandcraft Those 3m strips are one of the greatest inventions. I hung all of my sons pictures up in his room so he couldn't just knock them off the wall - I am going to have to try this!! 2d

gnomeangel My prize from the #pwtbrightskyqal turned up today (had completely forgotten about it) and it's perfectly awesome! Thank you @blossomheartquilts and @patchworkthreads - it's my new slumber tshirt (may have over estimated sizing required, but damn I love a slouchy tshirt to wear with my pjs! Now I can say I slept with @blossomheartquilts and @patchworkthreads - ooer!) #thatshowrumoursgetstarted 3d
  •   vinelines You make me laugh. 3d
  •   blossomheartquilts @kraftykuka I'm an Aussie 14 and am 5'11 with 14D girls and the M is the perfect fit for me. I compared my fave T-shirt to the measurements on their site and it said M. 3d
  •   blossomheartquilts And Angie, I hope I keep you cosy 3d
  •   colourmehappy88 I ordered mine a little big, too. But I decided I would rather it be too big than too small. It's all about comfort! 3d
  •   kraftykuka @blossomheartquilts thanks so much for this info! 3d
  •   gnomeangel @kraftykuka this is a 2XL, I'm thinking an XL would be comfortable for me, but a L might be more "fashionable" if that makes sense. I just like to give the spare tires some room to breathe. 3d
  •   kraftykuka Thanks @gnomeangel it is really cute either way! I love an oversized sleep shirt too 3d
  •   myfabricrelish Congrats!! 3d

gnomeangel I should come with a sign that says "Powered by" and then this photo. #chocolaterunsinmyveins 3d
  •   hillscass @shoppershaz DH and I said exactly the same thing!! 3d
  •   kayprovins Is that a new wrapper? Haven't had one for ages 3d
  •   craftycop I grew up in South Africa so I know good candy (compared to American candy), but I don't know chokito. The crunchy balls part makes it very hard to resist though! 3d
  •   daydreamsofquilts Never heard of this but anything chocolate is good with me! 3d
  •   sharingthegoodstuff Chokitos are my favourite!! 3d
  •   rodandi14 My local supermarket stopped selling these, but now that I think about it that's probably a good thing :) 3d
  •   joybells2012 Love those. Haven't seen them for ages. 3d
  •   daisyandjack thank goodness chokito hasn't gone the same way as my beloved pollywaffle 1d

gnomeangel Watching "No Reservations" Maine episode and thinking about @kidgiddy and wondering about life in Maine. Looks stunningly beautiful. 3d
  •   barbossas_wench @gnomeangel Maine is a beautiful place. :) I am so happy I live here. Though I would love to visit Australia someday. 3d
  •   tensionissues I'd love to visit Anthony Bourdain one day. Rawr. 3d
  •   gnomeangel @kidgiddy I would love to come visit. I was trying to get a photo of him eating a steamed lobster at this restaurant in Milo. It was so so so red - amazing colour. They were saying that Portland Maine has more restaurants per capita then anywhere else in the US. They showed the most amazing hotel made in the 1800's by a set of Quaker twin brothers. The countryside was just so breathtaking. 3d
  •   gnomeangel @barbossas_wench we could do an exchange program - I'll leave the key under the doormat 3d
  •   gnomeangel @tensionissues me too! 3d
  •   kidgiddy @barbossas_wench where do you live?? 3d
  •   kidgiddy @gnomeangel I looked up the episode but haven't had time to watch it. It was filmed in 2010. I didn't know that statistic - not surprised though. Guy has been to Portland twice for diners drive ins and dives. You HAVE TO come here when you come over the pond for a trade show or quilt con etc! It's a seventh wonder of the world. 3d
  •   cathyledbetter Are you coming to quiltcon @gnomeangel ? 3d

  •   three_owls I always think I don't love pink until I make something with lots of pink! 5d
  •   sisterchicksquilts This is the month to work in pink. It's beatimous 5d
  •   moremiriam 4d
  •   runnin_doll Send some this way i will swap you for teal (i have way too much of that colour) 4d
  •   johannaweidner Love it! 4d
  •   kayprovins Love pink, am doing pink hexies 4d
  •   sunflowerstitcheries I started a 'treatment quilt' all in pink hexagons. Yes for best cancer. It was interesting. Pink was not a colour I had much of. Had to buy fabric! 3d

gnomeangel Thanks @blossomheartquilts @hellofromcat I have some of the @happy_zombie gnome santas - I made them into this giant star (just need to get it quilted!) last November. Thanks for being so amazingly generous, you're the best! 5d
  •   cidneebear Beautiful!!!! 5d
  •   buttonbeautiful It's bloody gorgeous! 5d

gnomeangel Secret squirrel sewing but I just had to share this cute little guy... And how awesome are @cloverusa clips - seriously how did we manage before they were invited!?!? #nofilter 5d
  •   poppyprint If you turn them over, the flat side will slide nicely over your machine bed as your project moved under the presser foot! Very handy! 5d
  •   gnomeangel @poppyprint thanks ️ I normally have them that way I was just being lazy and didn't want to flip the project for a quick tack. I can never seem to get my left and right side feed of the project clear in my head these days... Getting old! 5d
  •   poppyprint Aha! Should've known! 5d
  •   gnomeangel @poppyprint I'm glad you said something, it's totally the sort of thing I would do (and sew like that for years before realizing!) #notthebrightesttoolintheshed 5d
  •   three_owls Between clover clips, glue, and my pinchy fingers, I barely even touch straight pins anymore. And this is good, because without fail, I stick myself and bleed everywhere. 5d
  •   ali__stephens Making something secret?! You should tag this for the Makers' Collective! 5d
  •   formylittlemonster I kind of find them annoying as you have to remove them as you sew (when you get close to your foot) don't you? Or am I doing it wrong? 5d
  •   sewlux @three_owls ditto! 5d

gnomeangel I might not have mad quilting skills (yet) but the simple beauty of points that meet and even quilted lines makes me ridiculously happy (might be the sugar kicking in!). Imagine what I'd be like if I had quilting skills like @prettybobbins @sunflowerquilting @crinklelove @thequiltingmill @jolovestoquilt I'd be insufferably happy all the time! #nofilter #quilt 7d
