glasswhale In Flames - Come Clarity digipak CD/DVD.

The last one from me, because frankly all their other albums after this one fucking suck. They went back to a heavier sound for this one which threw a lot of fans off and was the album that gained them mainstream mega stardom, you couldn't go anywhere involving metal without hearing 'Take This Life' blaring out of a sound system. Good album, shame they decided to commit musical suicide after it though.

On another note, the DVD is one of the dumbest things committed to screen. The full album played through in a studio but mimed, whoever thought that was a good idea needs shooting....

glasswhale In Flames - Soundtrack To Your Escape digipak CD.

Going even further into the melodic side, this record had some good tracks on it while maybe not as strong as some of their other releases it's certainly way better than In Flames circa 2007 and beyond.

glasswhale In Flames - Reroute To Remain CD.

The turning point for the band that split their fanbase right down the middle, gone were the classic metal sounds, death metal vocals and classic riffs, in came the polished clean singing, over distorted modern style buzzsaw guitars and heavy sounding production. I personally think it's a great album, me and @joe_thevikingjarl blasted the fuck out of it as kids! Cloud Connected was our jam for a good couple of years!

glasswhale In Flames - Clayman CD.

My favourite In Flames record mainly because it was the first one I actually bought back in '01 after hearing shit quality Colony MP3's. This album is the metaphorical middle ground between the bands 'old' and 'new' sounds which ideally makes it their perfect release. Also, if you've never lost your shit to Pinball Map then you've never lived.

glasswhale In Flames - Colony CD.

Another of In Flames best albums, I am of the persuasion that the early albums are a lot better than the newer ones, mainly because this is the first album of theirs I heard back in 2001. It's hard not to love this record as its straight up bangers from start to finish and a perfect example of how Melodeath should be played.

glasswhale In Flames - Whoracle CD.

Regarded as one of their finer albums and I couldn't agree more, two of their best tracks 'morphing into primal' and 'episode 666' are on here alongside the powerful self titled closer amongst many other strong tracks.

glasswhale In Flames - The Jester Race/Black Ash Inheritance digipak CD.

After recruiting Anders Friden after two relatively underground albums, In Flames produced their breakthrough album and ep which was later packaged into this collection. Supremely old school in sound, they were one of the original innovators of melodic death metal and this still remains a genre classic and one of their best records.

glasswhale Municipal Waste - Massive Aggressive Clam box fan edition CD with patch, sweatband and badges.

The band took a more serious approach with this album and it's actually my favourite although a lot of people sort of disregarded it but with bangers like 'Upside Down Church' and 'Wrong Answer' I really don't know how!

glasswhale Municipal Waste - The Art Of Partying CD.

Continuing on the post-apocalyptic party thrash themes from their previous records, it's almost as good but doesn't have as many stand out tracks although it does contain the excellent Born To Party which they'd been playing for years beforehand.

glasswhale Municipal Waste - Hazardous Mutation Redux CD/DVD.

As if this record's 10 years old now, guess I can call it a classic then. Actually one of the greatest hardcore/thrash metal/crossover albums I've ever heard and to be fair anything Dave Witte's involved in is pure gold.

glasswhale Demon Hunter - Summer Of Darkness CD.

I unashamedly love Metalcore especially with a bit of melody and this is one of the most perfect examples of that right here. A heavy layer of buzzsaw guitars, grinding industrial effects and two amazing vocalists flesh out this ultimately dark but melodic album, living up to its own name especially with two tracks having the enviable vocal talents of Brock Lindow (36CF) and Mike Williams (The Agony Scene) bringing that dark atmosphere even further into play.
A lot of people will hate, as it's fairly commercial with some soft tracks made for single material, but I'm glad I made the decision to buy it on a whim 10 years ago when it wasn't so easy to hear tracks instantly.

glasswhale CKY - An Ånswer Can Be Found CD.

I swear this record got ignored by everyone, it's solid as hell even though it hasn't got any standout tracks on it, but it's CKY! Everything they write is gold in different ways.
