girlscantell Learning and making are big goals for 2015, so I've decided to make making time for making new things a priority this year. Creating pattern is entirely new to me but I'm really enjoying experimenting with it, and I'd love your feedback! 6d

girlscantell Friendly reminder that our #giveaway (see our last post!) ends tomorrow morning and there is still time to enter by commenting on that post. In other news, the only thing better than... well, anything is speculoos, obviously. Thanks for the snap, @apricotbasket! Glad you love your gift, you have a lovely friend! xo! 2w

girlscantell We made some bonus boxes available earlier this week and they've been such a hit! We have a handful left - they're $45 for over $150 worth of illustrated goodies, including a recipe binder, several towels, trivets, notebooks, note cards and more. We're preparing to do a studio move and so we thought this would be the most fun way to make our move a little easier. And to make things even more fun, we're going to giveaway two boxes here! To enter the #giveaway, be sure you're following us (@girlscantell) here, like this photo and tag two friends in the comments here. Repost this photo with #gctgiveaway for an extra entry. We'll announce winners tomorrow morning! 2w

girlscantell Smitten with this adorable snap of our snowman cards from @emilyblistein for @beautifulpaper just before the holidays. Thinking about a deconstructed snowman in the super cold we've had in Philly this week makes me smile. 2w

girlscantell Taking advantage of a slow, snowy day at the shop and a newly cleaned drafting table to work on some designs I've been mulling over for some time now. Fun fact: I am surprised when people are surprised to learn I draw with my left hand. I'm kind of a pretend lefty - I guess you could say I'm sort of ambidextrous (but my mom calls me no-handed). 3w
  •   ilovedrywell Wait... You draw with your left but write with your right? 3w
  •   girlscantell @ilovedrywell I draw with my left, primarily write with my left (but can write totally legibly and controllably with my right), but I cut, sew, throw, paint, bowl and just about everything else totally either handed. And usually I don't even pay attention to which hand I'm using. 3w

girlscantell Feeling refreshed and ready to get to work. For the last few years, I've been letting the nitty gritty - numbers and logistics and admin - take the front seat. That ends now! I'm determined to have fun with it, to let my creative mind steer things and to grow this thing more beautifully. I'm beyond lucky to have amazing friends and talented collaborators to work with, and look forward to all that the new year brings. I've been doing a lot of brainstorming the past few weeks and am bursting with ideas that I can't wait to bring to life. Stay tuned for lots more sneak peeks, works in progress, limited edition opportunities, and giveaways a bit more often here. Happy Monday! 3w

girlscantell I've always liked the problem-solving and make-it-happen nature of working for myself, but the past few weeks have been really, really challenging. The tougher wit gets, the more I feel ready to shake things up and make big changes with my business. I'm beyond excited to have such an excellent, talented friend to work with next year in @giantdwarfshop, and trying to stay motivated to get through these next couple days. Thanks to the wonderful @secretholidayco for her constant stream of encouragement through photos of her lovely work. On days like today sometimes even a simple sentiment is super helpful. 1mon
