ginnybranch Today the farmers torched their olive and oak branch scraps and everything smelled like burning sage and woodsmoke. According to Riccardo "this is a very country smell" ️ Instagram needs to work on that smell-ogram feature. 5d

  •   littleartefacts Love this 7d
  •   sbkitchens I love that you share my passion for old Italian men lazing around. We're on our way there-any recos? 6d
  •   ginnybranch @sbkitchens I can send a list of food recs I just got from our Italian friend but I loved La Giostra. Also Boboli Gardens, Santa Maria Novella pharmacy, Mercato Centrale, and Aqua Flor are definitely my favorite stores and sites that were recommended to me :) I highly recommend snagging a perfume at either SMV pharmacy or AquaFlor- something to wear while you're traveling and then can remind you of Florence every time you wear it at home! 6d
  •   sbkitchens Thx @ginnybranch - can't wait! 5d

ginnybranch Finally visited Santa Maria Novella, one of the oldest perfumery/pharmacies in the world. Stock up on various tinctures, digestives, lotions and potions or just my personal favorite, their carta d'Armenia, burning papers that can be used as incense or stuffed into drawers (or suitcases) as a deodorizer. Plus the store is opulent and gorgeous with ornate ceilings and walls lined with apothecary cases filled with their products from both the past and present. 1w
  •   ginnybranch @vicklowry @anastasia10 I was short on time and the scents inside were overwhelming my travel companions so I had to grab and go! I wish I could have sniffed around more :) 7d
  •   karagarber Favorite!!! Love their incense! 15h
  •   ginnybranch @karagarber which one do you get? I just buy their burning papers :) 15h
  •   karagarber @ginnybranch terra/earth.... My husband loves it too! It has the most unique scent. The salesgirl recommended it as it was her favorite. I need to try the burning papers! 14h
