  •   gimpics @keiththress - Yessir. Had to get the weekend started. About the only thing I like about winter is the sunrises come a bit later than summer. 1mon

  •   hikingdiva One of the logs' handles was really wobbly on Gregory Bald, I almost preferred hopping across. 3mon
  •   gimpics @hikingdiva - The best foot log ever is on Porters Creek trail in the Greenbriar area of the GSMNP. It is two logs joined at an angle over an excellent cascade. I think you'd like that trail. It has some of the prettiest cascades in the park on it and a nice camp site at the end. Little River trail in Elkmont also has an awesome campsite at the end with numerous cascades along the way. 3mon
  •   hikingdiva I want to head back for actual backpacking with my backpack (I almost used an Ikea bag!) Would love to get a good rain so everything is pumping. 3mon
