gerkshinobi Yeah it looks like poop on a stick but this is a glorious bacon wrapped, beer battered, deep fried hot dog. And it was delicious 1mon

gerkshinobi Hit up the Holy Jim trail area to do some exploring today 2mon
  •   trancis7 @gerkshinobi If you still have it a few months from now I'd be glad to take one off your hands haha 2mon
  •   leo_duque I saw your tire set up in the forums. Do you get rub with the tires and are you on any spacers? 2mon
  •   gerkshinobi @leo_duque nope no rub even at full turn! And I'm just on stock suspension, no spacers. It is pretty close to the fender well lining at full turn but haven't rubbed at all in the 23k miles I've had them on 2mon
  •   leo_duque Sounds good man thanks for the info. Looking to do a wheel/tire combo once I get my roof setup and hitch. 2mon
  •   nicholasnadel Does the AC feel adequate in your XT? It seemed underwhelming while test driving 1mon
  •   gerkshinobi @nicholasnadel it's not the best ac I've used tbh but I've been in 100+ degree heat and it's worked 1mon
  •   nicholasnadel Thank you. What a sexy beast though. And that #roofrack 1mon
  •   gerkshinobi @nicholasnadel haha thanks man! 1mon

gerkshinobi Saw this life size micro machine a Buck Rock Overlook in Kings Canyon. A pair of rangers live in the tower above for a few days at a time and radio in any weather warnings to the main site. Pretty awesome job if you don't mind climbing a ton of stairs to use the porta potty haha 2mon

gerkshinobi been slackin on this account 2mon
  •   audacityofthemind Thanks for replyingOh so you use two scanners? Is there a scanner that can handle two formats? And also is that your other account? 2mon
  •   gerkshinobi @audacityofthemind ya everything on this one is iPhone only and the other is film haha. The v700 will scan everything from half frames to 8x10. the pakon is quicker and easier but only scans 35mm. If you have the cash there are scanners that will yield better scans for 35mm and medium format that I could recommend, but they'd be in the 3k range 2mon
  •   audacityofthemind @gerkshinobi Oh ok cool thanks for the info cause I've got tons of negs from when I used to shoot both 35mm and medium format and was wondering what is a good scanner for both. And wow 3k!!! that's about the price of a digital Nikon I've been wanting to get. Thanks so much man for the info 2mon
  •   gerkshinobi @audacityofthemind np man! if you're looking for cheap the Epson v500 and v600 are worth checking out. They just take a lot longer to scan than the v700 2mon
  •   audacityofthemind I checked out the v700 just now and it's about $700 so it ain't too bad, and can do both formats. I doubt I would spend 3K for a scanner, I'd much buy a Nikon d800 with that money thanks again bro 2mon
