g_dagostaro I met Ramon while on a trip out to the Salton Sea. He was driving around looking for Knick knacks which he sells at local swap meets. Ramon is a retired pipeline welder that has lived and worked throughout the NW and Alaska, Alaska being his favorite. He wishes he could have retired there but it's just to expensive. A 6 pack and a burger would run him $20 in Alaska but only $10 here. While talking to him he points to these semi truck tires in the distance and tells me how he has been trying to figure out a way to bring one home for his grandchildren to play with. Ramon is the number one advocate of the Salton Sea and recommends I buy land there to vacation on. 2mon

  •   g_dagostaro Hahaha. We passed La Quinta on the way to the Salton Sea. I'm very Interested. Why were you living there? @evagiatas 2mon
  •   evagiatas Moved there from Michigan halfway through my freshman year of high school because my dad got a job in Palm Desert. It was a bit of an adjustment. 2mon
  •   g_dagostaro I could only imagine. You must be a lifetime fan of the date shake now. @evagiatas 2mon
  •   evagiatas Ya know, that's maybe my one regret - I never had a date shake. But I did fall in love with horchata out there. 2mon
