freshlypieced Got my fixture hung up now, too! Fingers crossed that it works. 😀 (But I don't have the right lightbulbs, so I can't try it out just yet.) #fpkitchenrefresh 2w
  •   poppyprint Nice one! 2w
  •   cattheartist Wonderful!! That turned out beautifully!!! 2w
  •   cindyd1010 Wow I liked the fixture when it was bronze but I really like it that color much better!!! 2w
  •   jjbeckstead Where is that from? It is AMAZING! 2w
  •   quatrocats It looks so different! Great decision 2w
  •   freshlypieced @jjbeckstead Overstock - $110! Overstock has another fixture that looks just like it, but a slightly different finish, for $500. Glad I took the chance on the cheaper one. 2w
  •   jjbeckstead I may have to go check it out and see what they have. Thanks for the info. 2w
  •   machumatt Awesome job with the fixture. 2w

freshlypieced So, Rub N Buff is pretty good stuff! My bargain light fixture now has a finish that works in my space. 😀 I used #rubnbuff in Pewter. #fpkitchenrefresh 2w

freshlypieced I love my new light fixture for my kitchen, but hate the coppery bronze finish! I'm going to try to change the finish using Rub n Buff - has anybody used this stuff before? Any tips for me before I start? #fpkitchenrefresh #rubnbuff 2w
  •   bryanhousequilts I love it as is but good luck! 2w
  •   freshlypieced @bryanhousequilts Well, I guess I shouldn't say I hate it - it's just way too warm for my new kitchen design. I have satin nickel faucet and cabinet hardware and it's clashing pretty hard with those! 2w
  •   willowcottagequiltco I have used rub n buff-it's pretty straight forward and great results! I do like this colour now too but I can understand wanting a change 2w
  •   thepurplebug Yep I've used it before, it's pretty simple and a little goes a long way! 2w
  •   kitkabbit Rub and buff works really well- but it's hard to get off your fingertips. My advice is to use gloves and a small soft rag and just use a bit at first- a little can go a long way! Good luck! 2w
  •   kitkabbit And qtips for the crevices! 2w
  •   re.engineered I love the color too! Bronze & nickel mixed is kind of the rage right now I think... 2w
  •   freshlypieced @kitkabbit Awesome tips, thank you! Excited to try this out!! 2w

freshlypieced I'm challenging myself to make a quilt with NO AQUA. It hurts, you guys. It hurts. 1mon
  •   sewpsychd I feel your pain. 1mon
  •   quilteron3 I guess my questions is.....why? It's the best color. Ever. :) 1mon
  •   stephiepeterson Pretty combo though! 1mon
  •   swimbikequilt I did that. And all I ever did was cut out the quilt. 1mon
  •   quiltymilla Great color picks. 1mon
  •   isobel_hill Oh my goodness!!! What restraint! I am in awe- the aqua habit is hard to kick @freshlypieced and I'm not ready... 1mon
  •   gigimfelix I agree, that is a challenge. I'm loving Aqua in all mine lately. 1mon
  •   _rubyloves_ But why? 1mon

freshlypieced Here's what my upper cabinets look like now! Next steps: new doors and painting the walls in more of a greige. Into the home stretch on my kitchen project!! #fpkitchenrefresh 1mon
  •   rivergirlquilts This is stunning. Love it so much 1mon
  •   thesewingchick Looking great! I am so impressed you did this yourself!! 1mon
  •   judy_durant Very impressive! 1mon
  •   maryonlakepulaski You are doing great! It looks pro. 1mon
  •   noodlehead531 Looks super awesome! 1mon
  •   beachquilty When I painted my kitchen cupboards I also painted the inside white. Boy what a difference from the natural wood. I am the kind that wants all the light I can get in the kitchen I wish I would have done it sooner, especially the bottom. 1mon
  •   freshlypieced @beachquilty I agree!! And I would like to paint the inside, but right now I just don't think I have the energy. Lol 1mon
  •   punkinpatterns Looking good!! 1mon

freshlypieced Third coat of paint is going on my cabinets! They're finally starting to look more finished! 😀😀😀 #fpkitchenrefresh 2mon
  •   elletaylor7 Love!! 2mon
  •   christaquilts You are so handy! 🏻 2mon
  •   rbsewing What color did you pick? They look so fresh! 2mon
  •   freshlypieced @rbsewing Thanks!! It's Sherwin Williams Snowbound. I had planned to use chalk paint but ended up changing my plan because I couldn't find a sealant that would go on neatly enough. 1mon
  •   rbsewing Thanks! I've been thinking of doing mine. It's really turning out beautiful! 1mon
  •   freshlypieced @rbsewing I highly recommend Sherwin Williams Pro Classic paint. Insanely expensive, but worth every penny!! It just doesn't show brush strokes and is very durable. I painted all the trim in our house with it 10 years ago, and it still looks great. 1mon
  •   twistedsisu Did you brush or spray? I love my white kitchen, feels so crisp and clean. My husband used a sprayer and the cabinets look great. 1mon
  •   thebluechair These look so great! I really want to do this! Now to convince the hubs. I like the cleaner finish of the paint you used vs the chalk paint. I hope you do a blog post with a your tips when you are finished. Looks so good! 4w
