fosterhunting Matt Emmons, the special effects guru/ motion control maestro that's I'm working with on my next project, watching a fixed wing drone fly through binoculars in a valley in the south eastern tip of Oregon last night. We are using drones to shoot the background images, or plates, and then will superimpose a series of choreographed photographs of scale models over them to give the appearance of flight. Check out my snapchat, @fosterhunting, for more 3d

fosterhunting An exterior view of my studio/office/edit station, 20 feet off the ground in a group of Doug Firs. Without a strong wireless signal, I'd never be able to get online and set up this kind of work space. Share your pic of a remote place with my partner @uscellular using #MyAnywhere through 6/26 for a chance to win a trip to Anywhere in the U.S. 4d

fosterhunting The next project I'm working on has a large special effects component. Instead of using computer graphics, we are going to use drones (to shoot the backgrounds) and a 20 year old motion control system with miniatures to simulate flying. For the last 5 months we've been building and testing a few different kinds of aircraft and have had the best luck with flying wings. Here's a video from a test flight this morning. Check out my snapchat, @fosterhunting, for more nerdom... #kaikorsmo 2w

fosterhunting After two years of planning, designing and building their camper, Scotty, Marissa and their fearless cat, Fang, packed up and hit the road this week on their endless road trip. Their camper is based on Toyota 4x4 pick up upgraded with a 3.4 V6, a walk through pop up camper made from steel and sheet metal, 12v fridge, solar, and enough spare parts to last a lifetime. It's hands down the coolest camper I've ever seen. 🏼. Follow their journey on south on their IG @noplannoproblema #homeiswhereyouparkit #vanlife 3w

fosterhunting Thanks mom for teaching me about life, working hard and too many things to count. Also, I really appreciate you putting up with me for those 40 hours you were in labor. 🏼🏼🏼 This photo is from a backpacking trip to Goat Rocks Wilderness in 1993 or 4 and is one of my favorites I have of my family. Happy Mother's Day! 3w

fosterhunting Doing it live! Window trim and roof instal. One of the hardest parts of doing a curved roof is figuring out how to get the materials to fit the radius. In the past we've used plywood but this time we used tongue and groove Douglas Fir 1x4's. Sauna Build Part 4. @aka2stroke @sirjosephdirt #leavenoface #cornell77 #thecindercone 3w

fosterhunting In the fall of 2011, I was a few months into living in my van and was starting to take photos of other campers I spotted on the road. I'd text photos of broken down vans, pee jugs left in parking lots, people cooking in truck stops etc. to other friends that lived in their cars for a few laughs. As time went on, i started posting the #vanlife as a joke, a spin on the thuglife but for people that lived on the road. This was one of the first campers I photographed for the #vanlife project and is one of my favorite photos in the Home Is Where You Park it photo book. There's a few hundred of the third editions still available in my webstore, use the discount code VANLIFE to get 15% off today and tomorrow 🏻🏼 1mon
