fitnessandthecity #TBT in Vegas! I've been hearing from so many girls lately that they're afraid to lift weights because they don't want to look like a bodybuilder or "manly". Well, that's just not possible unless you take a ton of steroids or artificial drugs. Getting "toned" means that you have to challenge your body with resistance training. Spending hours doing only cardio won't do the trick! By lifting heavy and having the proper nutritional plan your muscles will respond quickly. The word "toned" frustrates me all together because what many don't understand is that means you must build muscle, not just loose weight...but that's a whole other topic. Don't give up ladies! Too many days are wasted comparing ourselves to others and wishing to be something were not. So here I am with a leg circuit to get things started: 20 lunges with dumbells, 20 jump lunges, 20 box jumps, repeated 4 times. Then onto leg press, leg curls, leg extensions and calf raises.
