fitmotivation AMAZING TRANSFORMATIONS: @inspiredtobefit This is Ronnie! A 22 year old girl who decided to make a change and then succeeded to reach that goal! Truly Inspiring! Here's her story, @inspiredtobefit : "I started my journey 2 years ago. I was so sick of the way I looked and the way I felt. I had a very low self esteem. Although I wasn't "overweight" I was not happy. I tried to lose weight for over 5 years but it never worked and I would always quit. I finally decided to give it another try. This time I made an Instagram account to hold myself accountable. This forced my to stay on track and work my hardest!
First thing i did was take out everything processed. So all white sugars, fast food, chips, cookies, cake. I also eliminated all simple white carbs like white pastas, breads, potatoes etc. Instead I eat sweet potato, quinoa, spaghetti squash, brown/purple rice etc. I cut out cheese and milk and I drink unsweetened almond milk instead. Absolutely no pop. I only drink water. I even stay away from juice unless I squeeze it myself. I eat lots of fruits and vegetables. After changing my diet I lost 6 pounds in 2 week! I workout 3-4 times a week. This includes 2 HIIT sessions and 4 weight lifting sessions! Be consistent, work hard and never give up! If i can do it, you can too!!"

Normal FIT MOTIVATION, HEALTH & FACTS
fitmotivation Featuring: Ironman triathlete @domzthompson We all know how corrupt the food and supplement industry can be. No one is going to have you and your family's best interest on their agenda. Processed foods full of chemicals and GMOs are harming us as well as supplements filled with unsafe additives.
Fortunately we have health activist and like minded athletes such as Dominick Thompson that continue to fight for reform and change that will impact our way of living for the better good of mankind and the planet. With over 10 years of experience in the healthcare industry as an executive, Dominick is leading the charge to educate and inform the public regarding the serious benefits of what a raw plant-based diet does for the human body. "We as human beings have been conditioned to believe for so many years that we must rely on a traditional diet when in fact this very same diet have been linked to so many diseases. I myself have lost over 60 pounds on a plant-based diet." Check out his latest interview on NPR. He will also be featured on a upcoming ABC news special.

fitmotivation Foods with a high carb and sugar amount triggers hunger and cravings. There's a big chance that the one and only cookie you intended to eat turned into five. To eat in moderation is great IF you can handle it! Nobody feels good of over-eating. I want you to know that if you happen to eat much more than intended it’s NOT because you are ”greedy”. It’s because people are different and handle sugar and sweet things differently. If you are a person who often overeat this might make you feel a bit hopeless. I know the feeling. Sugar creates a need for MORE sugar. I often find it nicer to just right from the start say "NO THANK YOU". Some people have a very hard time understanding this. ”Just one bite.” ”Don’t be boring.” ”Are you on a diet?” The list goes on of what normal responses would be. I take responsibility for ME. You have a choice. Feel what’s best for you. Just as one cookie won’t matter - It’s also OK to say no. 4d

fitmotivation @brittanyburgunder In honor of National Eating Disorder Awareness week: @nedastaff "I had no idea..."

It would become my way to cope
It would isolate and change me
It would numb me from reality
It would value perfect over life
It would become my only friend
It would destroy my tennis dreams
It would take away my special horse
It would rip apart my family
It would rob me of growing up
It would make me hate myself more
It would possess me
It would make me an exercise addict
It would force me to leave college
It would place me on my deathbed
It would make me go bald
It would force me to relearn to walk
It would kill many people I knew
It would cause me to become obese
It would cause me to abuse laxatives
It would make me want to die
It would put me in&out of treatment
It would turn me into a hopeless case

But I also had no idea...
I would develop a newfound strength
I would start to find myself
I would be able to overcome it
I would find a new purpose
I would go back to college
I would ride & play tennis again
I would have great friends
I would repair my family relationships
I would learn to accept myself
I would begin to heal old wounds
I would be healthy and happy
I would turn hopeless into hope
Because I had NO idea what an eating disorder was and would do to my life. But I DO have an idea as to how I'm going to turn something so painful, destructive and chaotic... And turn it into something so powerful, beautiful and inspirational. ~Britt www.brittanyburgunder.com @brittanyburgunder

fitmotivation Never doubt to try something new just because you're not good at it, or you're not ”fit enough” - WE ALL start somewhere. That awesome zumba instructor once took her/his first lesson and that incredibly fit person once stepped in to a gym for the first time. When was the last time you tried something new? 7d

fitmotivation Why do we sometimes fail in what we are trying to do? Why do we sometimes want to eat food we know are bad for us? …Everyone has probably at some point heard that voice in your head that works against you and tries everything it can to make you believe that you are too tired to work out today? It tells you that you're sad and worth a day off and when you give in for the temptation it laughs at you. Give you guilty feelings and tells you that you will never succeed. That you might as well grap that bag of chips and give up.
We all fall in different negative thought patterns sometimes, no one’s perfect and that's ok but it becomes a BIG problem if it keeps you from living the life you want and reaching your goals. It becomes a problem if you think that you always need to listen! YOU DON’T.
I personally fell in this negative unhealthy spiral often two years ago. It’s when my brain lack of sleep and life is stressful that my mind change. I start feeling hungry all the time – even if I just ate a good meal. I start snacking A LOT, and look more often in the fridge. If I don’t realize that things isn’t right I can easily much away in mindless eating. No sleep + stress just put me out of balance.
What we can do when we know that we’re out of balance and our brain isn’t co-operating anymore is to - DECIDE for yourself: that voice in your head, that lazy sneaky voice screaming after french fries and chocolate, that is NOT you. It is NOT who you are! Make Distance and name that voice to someone you hate, like Voldemort! Haha or a name you just think is very ugly. If you put a name on the negative voice it becomes so much easier to turn it down. REACHING GOALS IS A MENTAL BATTLE! Always listen to the voice that wants what is truly best for you!!
