fatgirl_fitgirl So I've struggled and struggled mightily. After April during finals I had to break from the gym— I just could not travel by bus an hour and a half to go to the gym and have any sort of time to write two papers, a presentation, and study for the final exam. Then, I bought a Mac. I fell in love with it. I also bought an iPhone. But the biggest thing was I changed my major. I'm a computer geek so naturally I decided to be a developer. I got lazy in my fitness. I got a lot done for development.
Decided recently that an hour and a half was too long to travel during school to workout. Found a gym close to my apartment — literally 5 minutes by bus. Now I've gone back to back days and am about to do it again.

I needed this. I can't let it happen again!

fatgirl_fitgirl I was at the gym today for the first time in a couple weeks. Late night grinding caught me lazy but the gym guilt was unreal. Admonished myself all night long.

So I'm standing on the raised deadlift platform about to do a 1RM beater of 185 lbs and look at myself in the mirror. I noticed less of a bulge in my midsection. I kept looking at it, amazed. The bulge is still there but it's shrinking by me just eating under 1900 calories a day while out of the gym. Now being back the shrinkage will come faster. Seeing results is encouraging.

Guy in a wheelchair on the bus rocking a Gold's Gym tee and his buddy got a kick out of my CT Fletcher tee that says "It's Still You're Mother F#cking Set!". I thought here is a guy in a wheelchair that still gets it in. The epitome of #NoExcuses

fatgirl_fitgirl Snacking before the #gym. I haven't set foot in a gym in a little over two months— had three papers to write, a presentation, and two exams, one being a final. I know it's no excuse. I have a lot to do, a lot of tasks...and I got a new computer that has so many features I am overwhelmed in my geekery (Mac newb). So I've not really slept very well and have worked on a lot of stuff.

It's summer break and I am back at the gym. Next semester I will be even busier but will find a way to squeeze time in.

fatgirl_fitgirl #tbt I was 26 here and 460 lbs. meds and poor eating habits got me to that point. Lucky for me I had an athlete under all that #fat. But it was hard to walk far, up stairs and hills. I smoked and was morbidly obese, a double whammy. After a long bout of the flu the following year and a nervous breakdown in which years of pain and trauma, mental illness came to a head I went to the docs and they said I lost 40lbs. Yay flu! fatgirl_fitgirl After my #workout at @wrightsgym_kravmagapittsburgh yesterday I came home and fixed a good meal of salad, salmon, and country potatoes from Trader Joe's. Unfortunately my grill was up too high and it dried out my salmon. Everything else was great.
This here salad is Power to the Greens salad mix of chard, spinach, and kale, yellow onion, grape tomatoes, and baby bella mushrooms, balsamic vinegar, extra virgin olive oil, and blue cheese crumbles. It was crazy good.

fatgirl_fitgirl #protein heavy meal. It was eaten at 12 am however. So you can pretty much say I didn't eat Friday, just a piece of too sweet cake. Been busy and not paying attention to my health.
This semester I will only have to go up to the school once a week as I'm taking a class online and a night class. That gives me all week, outside of online class meetings, to go to the gym. Stoked.
