A guy got offend cause I thought he was a cab driver we were arguing and he was taking aggressive steps towards me and his buddy was as well. Cops showed up (this was Hollywood CA cops are always around)..they arrested me and now I'm facing assault with a deadly weapon charges.. I have no criminal record... Am I looking at serious Time?. My attorney said he is trying to get the charged reduced to brandishing a weapon. I don't know what to think of the situation. 21h

  •   beardeddevil Glad you didn't try to redo the edge on that one...lol 6d
  •   beardeddevil The dpx you sold me with the edge you re did yourself 6d
  •   collinbollin7 @jrorionj gerber shard bruh 6d
  •   everyday_tactical I've sold 2 DPX's, neither of them did I do the edge on. The early model the edge was done before it got to me and the latest 2.0 I sold had the factory edge. Oh, and this one DOES have an edge done by me. @beardeddevil 6d
  •   beardeddevil Oh it's on your feed still. It's the first run dpx you sold. The side in the pic looks a lot different than the other. Bet you remember now? 6d
  •   everyday_tactical LoL, dude, go look at the pic. That was me opening the box the first time. It's the collage. And you can clearly see the edge was done that way right there already. Not one I did. It came to me that way and that pic proves it. sorry man. @beardeddevil 6d

everyday_tactical Today’s EDC Blade: The Guardian3 from @BradfordUSA. This full tang fixed blade hits all the high notes for an EDC system. It’s premium in every way, a great shape and size for not only EDC tasks but also Defensive use, and yet somehow it’s still affordable. The business end of the Guardian3 is a stonewashed 3.5” Drop point blade with a high flat grind and a long swedge on the spine leading to a very strong but fine tip. Made of premium M390 stainless steel, it came shaving sharp from the maker and has held that edge with no sharpening or touch ups of any kind. The Guardian3 excelled at every task thrown it’s way, from food prep to camp chores and everything in between. The handle is 2 well patterned G10 Slabs bolted to the tang of the blade for an extremely positive grip. It has a large forward choil and superb jimping on the spine making traction in hand nearly perfect without compromising comfort, even in long cutting chores. It came with a very fine leather sheath for horizontal carry on a belt but Kydex sheaths are available separately. The Guardian3 weighs in at just 3.54oz on my scale making it an ideal weight for EDC and at just 6.5” long overall it’s completely unobtrusive. Best of all, one of these beauties (and they come in a myriad of colors and finishes) only cost $159 directly from the maker. It may actually have been the best $159 I spent in 2014. So if you’re into Fixed blades for EDC or just want to add one to your already existing system, I can’t recommend the Guardian3 highly enough. You’ll find yourself going back to it again and again, and she’ll always be ready to work. 1w

everyday_tactical Today’s EDC Blade: An EDT Exclusive first look! The “Achi” Designed by Lucas Burnley, made by @CRKT_Knives. This is a Production Prototype CRKT sent me about a month ago (Thanks Guys!!) for review before they release them next week at Shot Show. You’ll immediately notice that it has basically the same Acid Washed TiNi finish as the Obake. But trust me, this is a very different blade. Where the Obake was designed as a sort of tactical steak knife, for more defensive carry than use in EDC roles, the Achi is exactly the opposite. It’s designed to supplement the role of a folding EDC knife and it really does that in spades. Made from a solid piece of 8Cr13MoV Stainless Steel, the blade is a 2.83” Drop point with a deep hollow grind and a swedge on the spine. It came hair splitting sharp and performed very well in the place of a folding knife in every EDC role, including food prep. The Achi measures 6.25” end to tip & the handle is Cord wrapped faux ray skin going down the tang of the knife. It’s extremely comfortable in hand, especially during those longer tasks like breaking down boxes after rolling out new products in the store. The cord is very grippy, giving it an excellent traction plan so no need to worry about slipping out of your hand. The blade has plenty of belly for precision depth cutting and with no guard, you can just choke up on the blade if you need more tip control. She comes with an FRN Sheath that has multiple carry options included but mostly I just carried it in my pocket like I would most other EDC fixed blades under 3 inches. Overall the Achi weighs just 2.8oz and in the sheath just 4.1oz so I barely noticed it in my pocket till I needed to pull it out and use it. I’m not sure how much they’ll go for, we’ll find out next week for sure, but I’m guessing around $40-$50. So if you’re like me and typically have a fixed blade or two as part of your EDC, I’d highly recommend adding the Achi to the rotation. It’s strong, sharp, durable, and looks oh so badass. Look for her next week when she’s released at Shot Show! 2w

everyday_tactical Today’s EDC Blade: The HEST/F 2.0 made by LionSteel for DPX Gear. True to its breed, this badass overbuilt titanium framelock performs like a champ in nearly every area. The 3.25” drop point blade is almost 5mm thick with a high flat grind. Made from premium D2 steel (yep, D2 makes my premium list), it’s been DLC coated for extra wear and corrosion resistance and has the same great jimping as on the Milspec. She came to me just shy of hair splitting sharp and after just 5 min of stropping cut like a laser beam. She’s only needed that treatment once during the testing process. The HEST/F 2.0 cut admirably in nearly every type of chore, from food prep, thru boxes, and on to small chopping tasks. Notably, the titanium lock bar has stayed firm as well, maintaining a rock solid lockup. The pivot is fairly smooth too, so deployment is easy, but I can’t help but think that it would be as smooth as the Milspec if they had opted for a phosphor bronze bushing on at least the titanium side instead of nylon bushings both sides. The handle is very comfortable in hand, made of OD Green G10 on the presentation side and nicely stonewashed titanium on the lock side. Regrettably, the pocket clip is one position only, right hand tip up. But it’s held in place with an interchangeable bolt that includes a glass breaker on one and a smooth surface on the other. And you can conveniently keep the one you’re not using on the Mr. DP tool that’s included; which will not only adjust your knife, but has a few other tools on it as well. All told this pocket beast weighs in at a pocket friendly 4.9oz and comes with all the cool features of the other HEST models including the bottle opener on the spine of the blade, jimping that doubles as varying gauges of wire stripper, and a lanyard hole made to take hex bits. Though one of these will cost you around $175, it’s an excellent choice for EDC out of which you can expect to get a lifetime worth of cutting. Happy @KnifeThursday EDTer's! 1mon
