eriyasu Shooting For The Moon - A few nights ago, @bizhead and I met up to take some shots of the supermoon. Went to Riverdale Park East and saw this view. Unfortunately, the moon was on the other side of this view... So we decided to drive to my secret spot on the other side of the city to take a shot of the moon. This shot was a composite of both images put together. Was a fun night indeed - must do it again @bizhead !! 1mon

eriyasu This iPhone shot does not do justice capturing last nights sunset. I had a VIP pass to the Taste of Toronto thanks to the generous @sabanabi . Tried some chef Erwin chicken and lamb. Thanks for the invite and sorry I couldn't get you the -196 degree I've cream - next time . 2mon

  •   bizhead So dee and I went canoeing last weekend. I brought my camera also. We ended up tipping our canoe and my camera bag went into the water. Water made contact. But I turned it on yesterday and it turned on ! #praiseallah #muslimforaday 2mon
  •   eriyasu @andrerphotography @a1ela thank you thank you 2mon
  •   eriyasu @bizhead oh man! The moment I had control of the boat, I realized ... I have no clue how to drive this thing and I brought way too many electronics... what happened to you was my worst fear! I'm glad the camera works again! There are a few YouTube videos to that discuss what to do when your camera meets water. 2mon
  •   bizhead The camera thankfully wasn't bad. After I was on shore I took the lens off and took out the battery and SD and water was no where. Thankfully my backpack is a good one. My phone that was in a smaller compartment didn't make it though. Lesson learned though.. Everything in zip lock bags next time ! 2mon
  •   sirzaman This one is too nice. 2mon

eriyasu Morning Sunrise - I couldn't sleep a wink last night. I got up at one point to get a glass of water and saw this out of my window. Naturally I grabbed my camera and proceeded to my balcony and use the railing to hold a steady shot. This was taken at 50mm, f/22, 0.6s and ISO12800. Thanks for the kind comments on my previous post! 3mon

eriyasu #iphone #sunset from the #cntower - after shooting @kupferda and @brownzj 's proposal at the 360 restaurant in the CN tower, looked outside and saw this. Great friends + great food + great view + great sunset = great memories. Shot from an iPhone 5, processed through #VSCOcam then #snapseed then +35 LUX filter. Certainly not as sharp as I would like to be but I think it's expresses a certain "mood" like this. Thanks again for the kind comments on my previous post! 3mon

eriyasu Rest - Two weekends ago, @monicaros @itismestephaniee and a few friends participated in the Great Urban Race. For those who aren't familiar with this race (I never heard of it until recently), you are to solve puzzles and riddles while going on a city-wide scavenger hunt. You can run to your destinations or use public transport, but you are not allowed to use any other means (bike, car...etc). It took three hours and we ran all round the downtown core (~12 km) with race bibs attached to our shirts. We actually did pretty well - placed 16th out of over 200 teams (700+ participants). We were even invited to participate in the nationals held in Vancouver! Afterwards, we needed a shower, food, and rest. Drove home, showered, then went to @itismestephaniee 's boyfriends condo for a patio BBQ. The food and ambiance was very satisfying to say the least. This was the view from the balcony during sunset. I was inspired by @miminguyenphoto 's most recent iPhone photo of New York. She's a truly talented photographer who proves that you don't necessarily have to have expensive gear to capture brilliant images. Similarly, this was an iPhone shot with some minor touch ups on #vscocam - not as good as her's but I'm learning! Thanks all for your continued support! 3mon

eriyasu The Calm After the Storm - a few hours ago, I witnessed a severe rainstorm out of my window. Instead of stating inside, I grabbed my gopro and held it over my balcony. Got soaked in the process but was able to document some debris flying around. After the storm (and I) dried off, this was waiting outside. For all those who still don't have power, hang in there. This was taken about 15 minutes ago with the following settings: 24mm, f/8, ISO100, 1/50s. Hope everyone is safe. 3mon

eriyasu Congrats to two of the kindest, sweetest, and certainly most intelligent PhDs I've had the good privilege of knowing. @kupferda@, simply put, you are a model human being and I would die a satisfied man if I could acquire just 1% of your characteristics. @brownzj you're passion for ... quite literally everything is infectious. After each of our conversations, I'm inspired to learn more and more! Thanks for having me as your engagement photographer, but more importantly, friend. Wish you both unlimited happiness and prosperity! 4mon

eriyasu For The Love Of Gold - #tbt found in the archives (2011) when I first moved downtown, walked to union station and looked up. This is the royal bank building in Toronto - it started my fascination with buildings. Thanks for the kind comments and continued support on my last photo. 4mon

eriyasu Warp Speed - Just over a year ago, @monicaros and I were on #bigisland , #hawaii and decided to do a full day island road trip. We strapped the #gopro to the top of the rented car, filled up the tank, bought snacks and just drove. We went to north west pier, Waimea, Waipio Point, bought some macadamia nuts from a humble Harikrishna, went to Hawaiian style cafe (it was closed), got caught in some #vog, saw a beautiful rainbow, explored a cave, drove to one of America's only roofless airports, saw the sunset on the beach, drove to #Hilo, went to the active volcano, and came all the way back to #kona. The go pro was set to take a picture every 2 seconds. Here is one of the shots as we were on our way to the volcano. All with my co-pilot, @monicaros . Hopefully, I can turn this into a timelapse and post it soon. Was a great adventure... And I'm itching for another one... Thanks for your support on my previous post. Hope you're relaxing this weekend. 4mon

eriyasu Boom, Pow, Wow - @monicaros , her sister and her sister's boyfriend decided to go back to high park to catch the cherry blossoms one last time. Unfortunately, the rest of the city also decided to go as it was a national holiday (#victoriaday ). Traffic was bad, but we found a spot to park. Walked over to the cherry blossoms only to find that they were all gone! Well, at least we had the magnolia tree. Decided to do a photoshoot infront of that the again. I brought all of my gear with me, dialed in my settings, took a shot, and realized that I forgot my memory cards at home! Oh well, had some ice cream while we stared at the crowds. Went to #ashbridgesbay or #woodbinebeach later in the evening to catch the fireworks. I remembered my memory card, but forgot my timer and ultrawide lens! We sat far back enough so that I didn't need the ultrawide and I set up my shot so that I just had to hold the shutter with the following settings: 24mm, ISO 1250, f/8 and 1.6 seconds. Took about a hundred or so photos and a few turned out nice! Here is one of them. Some people think the fireworks were for the queen... Little do they know it was for @monicaros and my anniversary . This was taken a few hours ago. Hope you all had a great long weekend . 4mon

eriyasu Toronto Sakura - These guys are in bloom at the moment and will be around for another few days! After that, they fall off and the leaves grow for the season. In Japan, they have day and night festivals. At night, they have light that shines from the base of the tree to the leaves and people stroll through the park under the magnificent luminous flowers. Wish we had that here. For now, this will do . 4mon

eriyasu Sakura Girl - it's nice to compliment a beautiful environment with a beautiful model. Although we were nearly struck by a runaway stroller, had a DJI Phantom II (multirotor) follow us around the trees, witnessed quite graphic public displays of affection, had to queue to get a pic in front of this tree, and were nearly rained on by a flash thunder shower, @monicaros and I loved #highpark and will likely be back in the next week or two. Anyone want to join us, leave a comment . Hope all is well and thanks for the kind comments on my previous posts. This was taken at f/2.8 at 70mm on aperture priority mode. 4mon
