emmiedell Jeremiah 29:11 "'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the Lord, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'"
God knew the plans for Brendan and I in Guatemala for these past four years. It is amazing to see Him at work and see His plans come full circle. When I came to Guatemala for the first time my freshman year, two seniors at the time had purchased a few water filters to deliver to poor local families. Little did I know at the time that a family friend would be living in Antigua Guatemala. Little did I know that they would be working with EcoFiltro. Little did I know that I would be dating a man so passionate about Guatemala and water. Little did this man or I know that together we would be able to raise $6500 through a series of miraculous events in order to purchase these same filters in Guatemala. Little did we know that we would be able to provide at least 6,148 children with clean water, many of whom we've grown to wholly love. But God knew it all, all along. I'm so in awe and thankful that He used me in His plan. I love Jesus. I love Brendan. And I love Guatemala.

emmiedell Hi friends and family! As many of you may know, I have had the privilege to visit Antigua, Guatemala on missions trips over my high school years, and I will be returning in a month for the final time with many of my classmates. This year, however, being that it is my senior year, I am raising money along with Brendan LeBaron to buy water filters for poverty-stricken schools in Guatemala. The difference between the two glasses of water in the picture is truly the difference between the water many Guatamalans use and drink each day and the same water after being filtered in an EcoFiltro. With all that being said, there will be a huge yard sale this Saturday at my old school, Foothills Montessori School, with the help of the FMS Middle School students, and the proceeds will go towards buying water filters! I would love to see familiar faces support the sale and the endeavor. Thank you!

emmiedell This was from my first time in Guatemala my freshman year. In a little over a month, I get to go back on my last mission trip with my school, and its so bittersweet. It's the place where I have met people who have brought me so much joy and so many tears, and my entire perspective of the world has changed because of these trips. It is my favorite time of the year and I can't wait to once again see God at work in this remarkable place. 3mon
