emmetbyrne For the Intangibles project, @chenandkai have created joss paper versions of two of their most popular products (metamorphic book ends and cold cut coasters/ham hock). The joss paper is meant to be burned at the gravesite of a loved one, to provide them access to the product in the afterlife. The piece is not complete until the paper is burned---to that end we are inviting buyers to send us video documentation of the burning paper, which the Walker will publish on its site. Oh and the buyer gets a 20% rebate too. It's a really beautiful project. Also I think it's probably the first product we've sold in the store that is meant for people in another plane of existence. emmetbyrne As part of the Intangibles project, Slavs & Tatars will come to your library, rifle through your shit, and skewer your books. It's a piece called Kofte Kitab Kebab and it sounds like a really wonderful/intense/heady experience---a weekend-long reading group with the artists. (See profile for link.) 3mon

emmetbyrne Martine Syms used the Intangibles platform to introduce her noise band MAYA ANGELOU to the world. "Maya Angelou's style is understated. It's not exactly knob-turning—more laptopping, head-bobbing. There's a beat, some chords, a sample or two, a tiny bit of vocals. Like if you went to Subway to order music. She starts right on time and doesn't mind an empty room. 'I put the punk in punctual,' she explains. 'I like to be home before midnight.'" (See link in profile for more info.) 3mon

emmetbyrne @nicomuhly has created a piece called "Canonical Tones" for our Intangibles product line (see profile for link) which consists of 12 custom ringtones---each one is composed and recorded by Nico just for the buyer, who will be the sole owner of the 10-30 second piece of music. And as of right now, only two are left for sale. 3mon

emmetbyrne RO/LU has created a beautiful and layered work for our Intangibles project. It's called "Let Me Know ..." and it is, among other things, an exhibition contained in a .zip file that is available for purchase through the Walker Shop (see profile for link). It consists of original video, audio, images, wall texts, a graphic identity by @dantemante and everything you would need to stage the exhibition in your own home. It is bursting at the seams with potential energy---a lot of love stuffed into one little file folder. (Actually the folder is like 15 gigs big.) The work digs deep into the Walker's library and archives, and this image was shot inside the Walker archives by @genobird . @rolumatt @mrbradles 3mon
