emilysuenetz Just this week, I finished filling up a 200 page journal in a little less than 6 months . Do grownups still journal? ️ I have so enjoyed getting back into it. Just writing down thoughts and ideas. Feelings. Prayers. Frustrations. Blessings. Logging it all. Figuring things out by forcing my thoughts into (somewhat) complete sentences. I rarely go back and read what I've wrote. Most of it sounds ridiculous within a few weeks of writing it anyway. But boy, is it therapeutic. It's been amazing to see the changes a year has made. I have hopes to dust off my blog and maybe squeak out a post or two before the new year and recap 2014. It's been a full one.
I'm so thankful for this insta community and the inspiration and connection it offers. I am constantly amazed by you. My heart is full. #thankful ( // @millerfamsix)

emilysuenetz Been busy lately making pretty things for my shop & The Alliday Show. If you're in the Tulsa area, mark your calendar for December 12-13 and come out to Retro Den to see me + 11 other artists! I know where I'm doing my Christmas shopping this year! #shoplocal #handmadegifts 12h

emilysuenetz I thought about sending out Christmas cards for approximately 2.5 seconds, but that felt like a little too much work. I'll be lucky to get these printed and in frames before next Christmas. #procrastinatemuch? #whodoeschristmascardssanskids? (pic cred: @millerfamsix) 6d

emilysuenetz November is flying by, right? I don't even have the Monday blues today because I know this week is going to be over before I know it. And I've got my first Christmas party this weekend. #saywhaaaat? 1w

emilysuenetz Hubby is in the garage replacing the radiator on the car (because it ate a trailer hitch ) and I'm in the cozy warm indoors with crafts + my grooveshark playlist + candles + coffee. Weekends are my favorite. 1w

emilysuenetz Baby, it's cold outside! Brrrr! But that didn't stop us from galavanting around the Christmas tree farm to get some holiday card-worthy pictures! 🌲 1w

emilysuenetz “My story is important not because it is mine, God knows, but because if I tell it anything like right, the chances are you will recognize that in many ways it is also yours… it is precisely through these stories in all their particularity, as I have long believed and often said, that God makes himself known to each of us more powerfully and personally. If this is true, it means that to lose track of our stories is to be profoundly impoverished not only humanly but also spiritually.” - Frederick Buechner 2w

emilysuenetz A few (random) things: 1. This picture is not what's happening right now, but I wish it was. 2. This weekend was insanely busy...I hardly remember sitting down. 3. Monday hit me like a mac truck. I am not ready for you, 2nd week of November!!! 4. I have a love/hate relationship with the Holidays and I kind of want to fast forward to January. 5. I journaled some super raw feelings this weekend as this month marks another milestone in a frustrating situation. I'm really struggling to trust God in this, but I'm trying to focus on my blessings. 6. I'm planning my first tattoo, and it already means so much to me. 7. I'm wearing my first ponytail (in public) since starting to grow out my pixie in April/May. #happydance. 8. I can't get "All About That Bass" (( no treble )) out of my head. 9. If you're still reading this, well, you're my favorite . 2w
  •   emilysuenetz @lprice333 so sorry! Lol. I just gave up and started listening to it on groove shark 2w

  •   bektothefuture @emilysuenetz Can't wait to see!! Thank you! I love it too :) @randersen played a huge role in it and designed it. She and I are working on the other one. This next one will be something in Danish as Well as our phrase of our family crest. Very excited! 2w
  •   randersen Love you, Emily! Hope you get your well-deserved breakthrough! And I owe you some sketches for the tattoo 2w
  •   themanuel97 Hey Follow me! 2w
  •   emilysuenetz Thank you @randersen . And I'm dying to see what you come up with!! Maybe we can chat more about it at Alliday ️ or just come over anytime for 2w

emilysuenetz Sometimes stepping out into new things is rather terrifying. I'm usually a little (ok, a LOT) too worried about what other people think. I've had a few critical "friends" in my life - what? You too? Yeah, they can get in our head and mess us up. IF we let them. I've decided to just start some new things. Sure, it might not be perfect or exactly as I had envisioned. BUT, that's going to be ok. Here's to starting. And here's to possibly looking super ridiculous, but hopefully not boring. I hope to be a little less secretive in the coming weeks 3w

emilysuenetz This little guy gets soooo excited when I get out the coconut oil. He loves a good scoop of it with his dog food and he doesn't even notice the medicine I sneak in there. #hethinksitisatreat #jokesonthemutt #dogadoption 3w

emilysuenetz As the green disappears outside, I feel the urge to fill my home with it. I might have a plant or two in every open corner and on most sunny windowsills. #ineedagreenhouse 3w

emilysuenetz If you wake up thinking of succulents after a crazy 2-day-knock-you-on-your-butt-virus, ya go get some dern wee succulents. I missed my work Halloween party, so I'll have to be bad Sandy from Grease next year. #ohwell #iwantedtheleatherpantsanyway 4w
  •   hnnnuhh These are beautiful!! Have u heard of air plants? 4w
  •   emilysuenetz Yes I have @hnnnuhh! I almost got some the other day! Do you like them? They seem more high maintenance than succulents though. 3w
  •   lizzyloveshealth Oh no! What were you sick with!? 3w
  •   emilysuenetz I'm not sure @lizzyloveshealth! Fever, nausea, head/body aches, sore throat. I'm feeling a lot better but my throat is still raw. I got a lot of interesting diagnoses when I googled my symptoms . 3w
  •   lizzyloveshealth @emilysuenetz oh this stinks, yes dr. Google isn't a great resource glad you're on the up end! 3w

emilysuenetz After our quick weekend trip up to Milwaukee for a conference, my body is giving me a scolding. I ate lots of junk food, stressed about the trip, got little sleep, and ate more junk food. I get cold sores, breakouts, *digestive issues*, and my cycle goes crazy. I feel old! Do you ladies have any tips or tricks to getting your body back to feeling balanced fast? Any special teas or detoxes or magic potions? Please share yo wisdom!!! 4w
  •   yellowelm I have done both. It's super easy to make from ginger root, but tea bags are that much faster. 4w
  •   kelliejoy Great! I'm going to use some for myself tonight. 4w
  •   sarahnperacchino I take Healthy Origins Natural Probiotic. It's 8 strains and 30 billion colony forming units. It's a strong probiotic but I love it. I ordered it on amazon! Also, I love all these comments above! I'm looking for some tips as well and they are all so incredibly helpful! 4w
  •   emilysuenetz I'm going to check that out @sarahnperacchino. Thank you! And all these comments have been super enlightening to me as well. I feel so blessed by this community! 4w
  •   theblueskyismine :) 4w
  •   lanamichele @emilysuenetz Aloe Vera juice! I swear by it....helps bloating, cramps, and it is an overall tonic for your body! I also drink de-caff green tea with raw honey....help with antioxidants. Oh...buy 100% pure aloe Vera juice, I buy George's at Whole Foods...it is tasteless. 1w
  •   emilysuenetz Oh such good wisdom @lanamichele!! I like that the aloe Vera is tasteless!!! I've heard it's good for your skin too, so drinking it is probably fantastic! 1w
  •   lanamichele @emilysuenetz Yes, It is! And my kids swear by it if they have a tummy ache! 1w
