emilysuenetz I never realized how versatile the avocado was until the last year or so. I add to every meal I can lately as it is a fabulous healthy fat. Don't be fooled. Low fat diets are for the birds. Add a few of these babies to your shopping cart every week and your whole body will thank you. 19h
  •   hnnnuhh Idk if you like tuna, but avocado as mayo sub + tuna with a bit of chopped red onions is so yummy! 17h
  •   emilysuenetz I do like tuna @hnnnuhh but I have been off fish and canned foods for 1.5 years bc of my health. That sounds super yummy though. 17h
  •   emilysuenetz I will have to try her recipe @cindy1962! I love me some guacamole! 17h
  •   rlgunderson Avacodos are the best! I'm curious about excluding fish from your diet? Is there a particular issue that the nutrients (or mercury?) from fish were exacerbating? I've been pursuing healthy living and nutrition for myself over the last few years and now that we're living in California the possibilities of pursuing it as a career with my RN background are opening up! Excited and trying to learn as much as I can right now. Hence the question! Hope you're feeling amazing! 15h
  •   emilysuenetz @rlgunderson my doctor had me cut fish out of my diet mainly bc of the metals. I had lots in my body (I think from eating loads of shrimp in my early twenties). I could probably start eating it again, but I don't really miss it too much. I don't know if I will ever regularly eat bottom feeders again - at least not while I'm landlocked! 15h
  •   hnnnuhh @emilysuenetz chicken or egg works too :) 15h
  •   rlgunderson Thanks for sharing! Fresh and wild caught are definitely the way to go for sea food, much harder, and probably expensive when living in the middle ;) 13h
  •   mary_rose_photography Love avocados! I like good tasting healthy :-) 12h

emilysuenetz For a girl who used to be addicted to washing her locks every.single.day, getting compliments on 3rd day unwashed hair is the bees knees. #itakeshowerspeople #justnotalwaysmyhairs #messyhairfordayz 4d

emilysuenetz A fresh coat of paint does a tired door wonders. High gloss black might be my new fav! #athomewiththenetzs 4d
  •   bethmariephillips I'm a pretty big fan of high gloss black. shows all the dirt, but I still love it! 4d
  •   bybritowne Black doors are my favorite! Looks great! 4d
  •   babyrabe Pretty! 4d
  •   emilysuenetz Yes I've noticed that too @bethmariephillips. It's worth it though 4d
  •   emilysuenetz @bybritowne I almost chose a trendy, fun color, but I'm so glad I stuck with the black! It gives our door a touch of class. 4d
  •   emilysuenetz I'm enjoying reading your blog @bybritowne 4d
  •   bybritowne Oh my gosh thank you! And my mom has a fun yellow door and it's great but sometimes I think she wishes she had gone more neutral :) 4d
  •   emilysuenetz It's good stuff @bybritowne! Can't wait to have babies and apply all the mommy wisdom! Painting doors is not a small task. I love fun colors but I grow tired of them quickly. I'm not painting that door again anytime soon 4d

emilysuenetz I wanted to take a minute to welcome my new friends here and introduce myself. My name is Emily. I am 26 years old and I am a sinner saved by grace. I have been married to my better half for 5 years. We met in college in WI, got married, and lived in the north woods for awhile before moving across the country to Oklahoma 4 years ago in December.
This summer, we adopted a pup named Bucky and he is the cutest-ugliest fur ball you've ever seen - with an underbite that would make Keira Knightley jealous. He also has a tattoo - which I think is kind of cool.
We have recently bought a house and we renovated much of it over the summer.
I love coffee dates with my hubby and watching romantic comedies. Meeting my online friends is my favorite, and I've been blessed to stumble upon some amazing friends via Instagram this year. I'm a big dreamer + a wannabe wanderlust-er stuck in an 8-5 world with too few vaca days.
My dream job is being a stay-at-home-mom and pursuing my passion of helping women and getting my craft on whenever I can. But, for now, we wear the title of "DINKWADs" (Double Income, No Kids, With A Dog), and we are OK with that.
I used to think that people who ate super healthy and used food on their face were totally lame. And life sure is funny because now I'm a coconut oil slathering, apple cider vinegar swigging girl with stock in Whole Foods.
I'm an introvert by nature and I thrive on a balance of time spent with friends, my family, and time alone to think, read and journal. Sometimes I even blog, but Instagram is more fun. #fridayintroductions

emilysuenetz Rainy Saturdays = flannel + coffee all morning long ((in my favorite dollar store mug I bought years ago)). It's funny how the simplest, inexpensive things are the pieces that have survived every one of our moves and every one of my "throw-all-the-things-away" moods. 2w
