ellewoodsy Highlight of my day: coming across this 1971 Mustang Boss 351, many say the last true muscle car of its era (and a former mild obsession of mine). The old timer who owned it and I had a nice little parking lot chat before I had to get back to work. 4w

ellewoodsy Happy belated birthday (no, I didn't miss the real one) to my crazy, gorgeous, hilarious, ingenious, pioneering mother. This is the woman who chopped down our Christmas trees, changed the oil on all of our cars and fixed them herself, raised and sold horses, together with my four uncles built our first house with her bare hands, traveled the world before I was born, kept us safe during every tornado, was the only female stockbroker at her firm and broke sales records every year, and has saved our lives countless times. She's the only woman I know who can and will, without hesitation, catch the fish, clean the fish, cook the fish, and join you in eating the tastiest fish fry ever. She's a country singer who plays guitar, an avid photographer, oil painter, tomato canner, pickle preserver, and teller of tall tales. She could sell water to a drowning man. Her people come from Norway, what is now the Czech Republic, Germany, and Israel. And later, the Great Lakes and plains of Minnesota. Her life is a gold mine of incredible stories, lessons, people, and love. She is the salt of the earth. Happy birthday, Ma. 2mon
