edny321 God bless my cousin John and his beautiful bride, Danielle. I was a teenager when he was born, and as I congratulated him yesterday, I asked, "When did you start shaving?", lol! 21h

edny321 No filter needed for my baby and me. Weddings keep love young and strong. You wish the best for the young couple, they seek wisdom from older couples. We all drink and dance. #vivalosnovios #vivalosenamorados 2d

edny321 Well after a few rides and multiple trips to the local and not-so local bike shops, I've decided I can NOT use this AWESOME Tri-bike! It really tears my heart, I was looking forward to having this as view every time I opened my garage door! But the bike is just too big for me. I'll be sticking to my Captain 'Merica inspired Trek for riding and, if I get motivated enough again, racing! Bye, bye XLABS! #biking #cycling #tribike #roadbike #triathlon 4d
  •   edny321 But it's okay.... I. RAN TODAY! 4d
  •   cofl_44 Sooo sad!!! 🚴🚴 4d
  •   grunt2medic @edny321 that trek is awesome though! What size is the tribike? 4d
  •   edny321 55 cm, Joe. I got no specific help from the shops because they charge for fitting and sizing, but from what I've been reading on the internet, I could've gone anywhere from 51 to 53 cm to ride comfortably. @grunt2medic 4d

edny321 September 12, 2013
Another anniversary has come and gone. This is where I came to say a prayer. It's the only grave site I've ever known. The only one I've been to more than once. His father died of a stroke a year earlier, and it frightened Jimmy because it was a slow and painful deterioration of a happy and vibrant life. He told me he hoped that if he were to go, it would be quick, in a blaze of glory. I guess we can find some solace that God found it in His divine way to grant Jimmy at least that much.
Thank you all, my friends, for suffering through my annual purge. Your thoughts and comments help me more than you can ever know.
Thank you.

edny321 "I see a beautiful city and a brilliant people rising from this abyss. I see the lives for which I lay down my life, peaceful, useful, prosperous and happy. I see that I hold a sanctuary in their hearts, and in the hearts of their descendants, generations hence. It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known." -Charles Dickens

edny321 The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey is an interstate partnership to control and protect the area ports of entry. This includes the seaports of NYC, Brooklyn, Elizabeth and Newark, and Jersey City, NJ. It also watches over the airports of Laguardia, John F Kennedy, Newark, Teterboro. It is also in charge of several interstate travel hubs and crossings such as the Lincoln, and Holland Tunnels, the George Washington, Bayonne, Goethals and Bayonne Bridges, the bus terminals in midtown and Washington heights and the PATH train which had a station at the crown jewel of the port authority, the World Trade Center.
50,000 people worked in those buildings. The PAPD was at the forefront bearing the brunt of the attacks.
My best friend, whom I consider my brother to mine and his friends, was spared that day when the bus he boarded filled with his PAPD contingent from Laguardia was halted by his superiors. 37* of his brethren, however, were held their ground on their own until the towers eventually fell.
A week or so later, my buddy came to my house with the family. It was the first time we had laid eyes on each other since that day. I'd never felt such a powerful hug as I did that day and he told me, "I thought I lost you". We wiped the tears off our faces and went inside the house to drink. *One K9 police dog named Sirius was also among the fallen.
