edibleireland I'd never had pickled herring before I tried the Silver Darlings pickled herring, one of the winners at today's Irish Food Writers' Guild awards. Kirsti O'Kelly has given a traditional product a modern - and delicious - twist. #ifwgfoodawards 3mon

edibleireland Finally made it to Titanic Belfast, a fantastic example of a modern museum even though they have hardly any actual artifacts. 3mon
  •   paulsinstakitchen The Ulster folk museum has several artefacts. And more impressive Thant the new museum is the Thompson dry dock just down the road. 3mon
  •   edibleireland @the_accidental_celt It depends how old your kids are. Mine are 10 and 8 and we were saying that even one year ago, they would have been too young for it. The museum is very text based, so I think younger kids would be bored. 3mon
  •   edibleireland @paulsinstakitchen I love the Ulster folk museum! In fact, I think it's high time for another visit. 3mon
  •   the_accidental_celt @edibleireland sounds like mine might be a good age for it, 9 and nearly 13. Maybe I can pretend Leonardo is supporting me while I fly? ;) 3mon

edibleireland I didn't expect to come to Düsseldorf and eat Japanese ramen, but it turns out there is a large Japanese community here, and when you see queues out the door and lots of locals, you know you've found a winner. 4mon
