eatlovenoodles Topping up the Britisher points now I'm back home 8h
  •   feasttotheworld Should've topped it with curry gravy and called it Singapore Chips 7h
  •   eatlovenoodles @feasttotheworld no need to be silly. Singapore chips is a dry dish with the chips tossed in curry powder and served with cha siu, prawns, red peppers, chillies and beansprouts. Besides chips and curry is a northern English dish 6h

  •   missjordi Better in Singapore 2d
  •   eatlovenoodles @missjordi I preferred it in Penang. Not to everyone's taste but I liked the bits of chicken skin. 2d

  •   genecravings @eatlovenoodles haha had this few months ago, overpriced place n deteriorated over the years I heard. My penang friends told me to try nasi kandar beratur instead. Coming KL also?? 3d
  •   eatlovenoodles @genecravings I'm no expert but I enjoyed it and at the equivalent of < £1.50 it isn't overpriced to me. Just Penang on this trip. 3d

  •   thgsupperclub Sooooo jealous and happy for you at the same time! 4d
  •   eatlovenoodles @breadetbutter any tips are welcome! 3d
  •   breadetbutter You've done most of the good stuff - my fav char Koay teow is on Siam road, cooked over charcoal flames with proper wok hei. Wait is usually painfully long though so order two plates! ;) 2d
  •   breadetbutter Also, if you want to try nonya food: Perut Rumah on Kelawei Road (near Gurney Drive) is a good place to try a range of dishes, including the perut ikan @feasttotheworld keeps on talking about! lovely setting too. 2d
  •   eatlovenoodles @breadetbutter I am missing Hokkien mee from my list of dishes! Going to track that down tomorrow morning for breakfast! 2d
  •   breadetbutter And since you are there around Hari Raya (Eid), you must try Lemang (glutinous rice cooked in bamboo), ketupat, rendang etc. I'm getting hungry just thinking about it all!!!!!! 2d
  •   eatlovenoodles @breadetbutter Sadly I just have tomorrow morning. I must come back as I have barely scratched the surface. 2d
