dubfrosty These are two of the most important records in my life. They are delicate, minimal and ultimately soulful. The album on the right was one of hundreds I scored while working at KUSC radio in the 90's. They asked me to toss an entire room full of records in the trash and were then overjoyed when I offered to take them home with me. This is how I discovered the @nonesuchrecords Explorer Series, got turned onto Terry Riley, found @smithsonianfolkways, John Cage and first heard Ravi Shankar's collaborative international fusion experiments. Thanks to universal happenstance! 3w

dubfrosty Standing with Alice Coltrane's harp. This glorious instrument was a gift from John to her. She said John loved hearing the sound of the breeze blowing through an open window and across its strings. I was honored to be in its presence and to speak with Michelle Coltrane today about her mother's life and music. 1mon

dubfrosty One my 2015 art highlights was seeing Andre Breton's studio reconstruction at Centre Pompidou in Paris. Such a wonderfully eclectic collection. He even seems to have mounted my reflection on the wall. 1mon
