dotlomar [#favorite_food for #my_365] It's lunchtime and what am I craving? Just a good burger. While I love many different flavors, I probably eat more burgers and love when I find a really good one. This is the Terilingua (Frito pie burger) from Hopdoddy in Austin TX. What's your favorite burger? 20h

  •   dotlomar @mrs_aliciaceballos on the weekends it gets crowded and there's a lesser chance of getting in. We went on Monday and still had to wait 45 min. In late afternoon. I hear that at times they prohibit swimming. 54min

dotlomar Happy Friday!! There's a story that goes with these beers. |

On Monday, Danny and I spent the most amazing afternoon at Hamilton Pool. As we were leaving and I was capturing last minute photos, I saw this lovely couple near me. As I often do, I asked if they'd like their picture taken. They said "sure". We left and stopped at a nearby restaurant for some refreshing local beers Chupahopra (get it?) and Twisted X made nearby in Dripping Springs. I digress. Back to the story...well, we ran into that same couple there. They expressed their appreciation of the photo and mentioned that minutes before I took their picture, he had just gotten down on one knee and proposed to her! We celebrated their engagement with beers and gave them some old married couple advice. So for every time a stranger has offered to take your picture, remember to pay it forward as you never know when you might hit the "great timing" jackpot!!

dotlomar [#from_above for #my_365] Another hot day yesterday, so another Texas swimming hole. If I wasn't afraid of heights, I could have provided more perspective of this place. An artesian spring that is 140 ft deep but you have to be a precise jumper/diver as the well is not all that wide. Had fun watching from the sidelines while cooling off in these waters. 2w

dotlomar This may very well be the best blackberry cobbler I've ever tasted. I came for the BBQ but they've won me over with this. 2w

  •   itisjoy We are headed to Jacobs Well right now. I'll let ya know! 2w
  •   dotlomar @itisjoy early bird gets the worm! My husband is not a morning person! 2w
  •   itisjoy @dotlomar we are morning people! It was beautiful being there without a crowd! It's definitely worth the trip! 2w
  •   lbmclopez @dotlomar no we haven't, but it's on our to do list! 2w
  •   dotlomar @itisjoy we finally got to Jacobs well. A bit crowded near the well but we watched from afar. Did you jump? Not I, said the chicken. Hubby has a bad back and I'm afraid of heights. 2w
  •   dotlomar @lbmclopez this one is very easy to get in and out of. But they do crowd control so you have to plan well. 2w
  •   itisjoy We did jump, once was enough for sure!! We went early so wasn't crowded much until we left 2w

dotlomar [#lifestyle for #my_365] Texas can be rustic. But if you explore some small towns like Gruene TX, you will probably find a tearoom with floral table cloths and wonderful desserts. Hummingbird cake and apple cranberry bread pudding, in case you were wondering. There's something about Old Southern charm... 2w

dotlomar Despite the triple digit heat, we are spending a few days away from home exploring the Texas Hill Country. Today we got in a glass bottom boat to check out the San Marcos springs. It's been 30+ years since the last time I explored this spot. 2w
