deliacreates This wool and leather are testing my patience but it feels good to be at the pedal again. #sewing 6d
  •   anniekblake Do you have leather needles?? Sooo much easier. 6d
  •   deliacreates @anniekblake totally agree... couldn't do without them! 6d
  •   anniekblake A walking foot takes away 99% of the frustration of sewing leather too. Can't wait to see what you are making! 6d
  •   erinkeith05 I had a little of that myself today. Wonder clips and tape helped! Good luck though!!! 6d
  •   deliacreates @anniekblake @erinkeith05 thanks for the advice. I didn't include it in the pic but it's a curvy shoulder cut out that was my source of frustration. leather sewing is my jam, but thanks for looking out for me. 6d
  •   anniekblake And I'm just a bossy know-it-all. I've never actually seen garment leather. Only upholstery weight leather for bags and clutches that I used to sell. So I will shut up now! 6d
  •   deliacreates Not at all! @anniekblake i am using an upholstery leather and that's probably my problem. I thought I could get away with it because it's just for a few details, but it's making all the curves frustrating. I got married to the color and just couldn't help using it over some lighter suede I have in my stash. I'm my own worst enemy. 6d
  •   janomegnome I have the opposite problem today. Softer than soft leather that's like sewing with chewing gum. I'm trying to work with my crazy whims and passions (a champagne gold leather bag, lined with maroon khaddar, on this occasion) while not totally overestimating the skills involved! I'm so fascinated at the moment with the idea of slow sewing. Like cooking - makes sense. Helps keeps things manageable for me, as a self-taught beginner with impatience and a bit of a gung ho attitude. Again, the opposite problems to you! But there's definite commonality in being our own worst enemy. I'd like to think it's pushing boundaries and aiming high ;) 6d

deliacreates #stopdropandselfie tagged by @skirtastop. I'm mostly dressed and Nat's not. Usually it's the other way around. We're looking out the window at the weather change from foggy to sunny to foggy and having fun playing with all the toys in the playroom without having to share with the boys who are at school. Party! I tag whoever wants to do a spontaneous selfie! 1w

deliacreates For reference those leaves are about 2 inches long. Washington spiders are no joke. I found two in the laundry this morning. I hear they aren't poisonous.... Right? (Knees shaking) they supposedly are prevalent only during September and October. Just in time for Halloween. 1w

  •   adriannaappl I feel ya sister. The girls don't have a closet so their clothes hang on very accessible racks. Great capture though! 2w
  •   erinkeith05 Same here, same here. And we don't really rock the "long sleeved T-shirt under a dress look" very well so I always make her take it off. #meanmom #ohwell 2w
  •   lapetitamarieta Well my two years old Don't have a closet in her size and we have a lot of múltiple wardrove changes and some with her sister and brother clothes too 2w

Normal Delia Randall
deliacreates Sweetest little Frankenstein you ever did see! She's been trying on all of her brothers old costumes this morning which has equated to a lot of roaring and growling noises around the house. (Frankenstein hat is an old tutorial on the blog. Click on Halloween under the tutorials tab). 2w

deliacreates The path to our seaside picnic. Sometimes we pinch ourselves and ask ourselves if this is really real...if we are really here. I wonder when I'll stop seeing this place like a tourist, but for now I love that it feels like Christmas every time we leave the house to explore. 2w
  •   girllikethesea So gorgeous! 2w
  •   mrskrysta 2w
  •   mrskrysta Tiffany Steph lives in WA too! Would be so fun if you ran into eachother! Although she's closer to Seattle... 2w

  •   blubabescreate With everythingvthey are doing with DNA now, I wouldn't be surprised if this really happens one day. 2w
  •   boyohboyohboycrafts Woah! 2w
  •   realjanetrandall In the summer we'd pick dozens of those leaves. Then we'd have a cook out & my mom would wrap bisquit dough with the leaves. We'd tuck them down into the coals to bake. I am still amazed how the baked, did not get burned & did not taste like leaves! Fun memories! :) 2w
  •   deliacreates Whoa. That's so cool @realjanetrandall ! 2w

deliacreates Learning to knit and it's finally clicking. #thirdtimesacharm 3w
  •   slushyfairysews Me too ! I started again last night , bamboo needles have made a world of difference for me , I just can't use metal ones :) 3w
  •   thebainbridgebunch Funny how we gravitate towards one or the other. I'm defiantly a knitter at heart. I can crochet but it doesn't come to me as easy. 3w
  •   deliacreates @slushyfairysews meeee too! I think the wooden needles have helped a ton. I tried with metal first as well. 3w
  •   deliacreates @thebainbridgebunch I love that! I'm the opposite. I'm a crocheter at heart. Knitting has definitely not felt as natural to me, but the more I do it, the more I'm loving it. 3w
  •   googiemomma agreed. crochet makes sense to my brain, and as a lefty I find it easier to translate right handed tutorials in crochet. but I loooove knit--I love the finished look of knit projects more. I'm just so slow and clunky and all thumbs when I knit 3w
  •   housefullofjays And once it clicks you just get itching for more! 🐏 3w
  •   team_telford nice, even tension! I can't figure out crochet to save my life, but I love knitting. 3w
  •   girllikethesea Clicking 3w
