danrubin Sunset from the hidden vineyard of Steingarten. Those two trees in the middle became midnight-muses for @brahmino and me while photographing the Milky Way.

danrubin The vineyards of @jacobscreekwine seem to go on forever when you first lay eyes on them — gorgeous rows of green as far as the eye can see.

The iconic DC-3 again, this time from outside, as @deasign lines up her shot during September's #f8iceland14 expedition.

Can't wait to go back to this amazing country in March — and looking forward to a few of you coming along for the ride

danrubin Today is the last quiet day I expect to have for a few months. Things get pretty crazy starting tomorrow, mostly things I'm excited about with a few things mixed in I wish didn't have to be — here's hoping everything works out and involves more laughs and smiles than any other emotional responses. 3w

danrubin Thinking back to this breathtaking view from the summit of Pilatus in Switzerland a few months ago, and reminding myself I need more mountains in my life.

This moment is also a reminder of the importance of approaching strangers: I wanted a person in the frame, and this purple hoodie caught my eye — when I asked, @sugarcrystals was happy to oblige, and a moment was created that otherwise would not have been.

danrubin We each experience the holiday season in our own way. For some of us, this can even change drastically over time: Growing up in Florida, my Winters were spent outside, often at the beach. This year, I’ve been spending my time close to the fireplace with a few very special friends in England, and #TYLENOL asked me to capture this feeling and share it with you.

How are you spending your holidays? Post a photo and tag it #ForWhatMattersMost to share your story.

  •   farvista @danrubin I'm currently shooting with an iPhone 4S. Think shooting in HDR could improve the quality and lighting of my photos? 2mon
  •   danrubin @nerminkuckovic In general, it *can* result in sharper images and a higher dynamic range, though it always depends on the exact exposure, how steady you hold the iPhone while shooting, how still the subject matter is, etc. Also, check out CortexCam: makes the 4S capable of much better low-light shots (I still use it on the 5s and 6, it's that good). Expect a learning curve on that and HDR, e.g. not all situations will yield great results. 2mon
  •   farvista @danrubin Cortex Cam is something I'll need to look into. It looked awesome when seeing it in your Skill Share class. Anyways, awesome work Dan. Thanks for all your help. Keep it up, this community needs more teachers in regards to shooting and editing. 2mon
