danielfooddiary Thai Green Curry. Finally found a good bowl after so many diluted ones. Yeah. Today's Thai lesson.... We learnt to sing a Thai song. Lol. 10h

danielfooddiary Canele closes, and Comnam opens. Comnam is focused on serving Vietnamese dish Cơm tấm, where tấm refers to the broken rice grains, while cơm refers to cooked rice. Go Viet!

danielfooddiary Another new cafe at Tiong Bahru. Not that there is anything really bad about it, but there is hardly something spectacular either. The people serving are really nice peoples. Whisk needs an X-factor soon. Or it's going to be tough. 2d

danielfooddiary The Japanese Curry Shop, but the pork rusu is so tender and curry delicious. Humble shop, but probably one of the best in Singapore. A pity for the rice though. Where's your fav Tonkatsu Curry? 3d

danielfooddiary Probably my first Lobster Roll, since it is the IN food now in Singapore. Any good places to share for that? Suddenly a craving for Louisiana style seafood. 4d

danielfooddiary So I decided to cook lunch today, and surprised how cheap Yong Tau Foo at the market is - 20c average per piece. Cost me less than $6 to cook a whole big pot. (Soup stock from Penang.) #CookForFamily 4d

danielfooddiary Tiong Bahru Market is fully packed with at least a queue of 10-20 at the popular stalls. Just want to take some time to thank mummies (and some daddies), mummies who queue from stall to stall to 'tabao' favourite food for their children (who may be still sleeping at home). It's hot, it's sweaty, it a long wait. A parent's love & patience is indeed admirable. 4d

danielfooddiary For fellow foodies, a Le Cordon Bleu Pop-Up Diner is happening today & tomorrow at PasarBella from 10am to 7pm. Le Cordon Bleu will be doing cooking demonstrations throughout the day, preparing food inspired by the new movie by ‘The Hundred-Foot Journey’. You can try free samples of the dishes whipped up at the demos. I'll definitely catch the movie when it opens in cinemas on 28 August 2014! You should too! #100footjourney bit.ly/HundredFootJourneySG 5d
