danielfooddiary Meals are always a joy here. Excellent coffee, pride in the food, friendly service.
Not to mention some of my friends who are not very fond of greens, just love the vegetables here.

The miso grilled king salmon so fresh it's unbelievable, smoked eel croquette, 63 degree egg.

And the Iced Orange Mocha. I want to have this again.

danielfooddiary There are few foods I would describe as 'life changing'. This is one of them.
Oh, the truffle. The 4 different types of mushroom. And the egg.

danielfooddiary The winner of the “Dilmah Real High Tea 2015” Challenge is out, and the cafe owner going to Sri Lanka will be *drumroll* Carpenter & Cook.
Congratulations! They won due to their delicate high tea sets with suitable tea pairing, aesthetically beautiful tea sets, and knowledge of the different types of tea.
Well done to the other 8 cafes who took part too!
Thank you to Dilmah Tea, and my fellow judges @openricesg & @ieatishootipost
Has been a joy working with all of you and judging for this competition. #dilmahrht #dilmahtea #realhightea

danielfooddiary Does this cake remind you of Smurf? I thought it's quite Mario. Surprisingly tasted not bad with different textures within.
The Grounds Of Alexandria is still a buzzing great place to visit.

danielfooddiary Aroy mak mak! There is something about eating hot spicy Thai food in a cold winter weather.

The burst of fiery Tomyum, but you don't sweat!
Home Thai's crab cakes were plump and fresh, totally delicious. A meal with so much food cost us only about AUD$15 per person. Big portions and quality produce.

  •   tomodachichingoo @danielfooddiary love thai food in Sydney think the taste is more authentic and fresher than Singapore and more shiok to eat because of the fresher produce and cold weather here. There is a Thai restaurant near haymarket call Do Dee Paidang that specialise in Tom Yum noodles at reasonable price with spiciness from level 0 to 7. Most people can only do level 1 or 2. Check them out if you want to try fiery spicy good Tom yum noodles. Also chat Thai owner also open a cafe nearby call Boon Cafe in Jarern chai grocery nearby serving good Thai breakfast/lunch/dinner menu with single origin coffee and pastries from penny four leichhardt worth to check them out! 1d

danielfooddiary This is such a meaningful initiative. SG50. 50 Restaurants. 50 newly created dishes.

The inaugural Singapore Restaurant Month organised by the Restaurant Association of Singapore (RAS) has gathered some of Singapore’s 50 Best Restaurants to create dishes to celebrate the country’s birthday.

This is a dish of 3 Grain Laska Risotto with homemade Pulau Ubin Seabass Fishcake from Portico.

I liked the laksa sauce that was cleverly integrated, which adds a beautiful notch of the local factor.

Check out the 50 dishes at http://danielfooddiary.com/2015/06/26/singaporerestaurantmonth #singaporerestaurantmonth #sg50

danielfooddiary Beanstro at Marina Bay Sands has undergone a revamp for a swanky new interior and revamped menu.

Some of the items I had: - The Beanstro Breakfast Platter
- Signature Crabcake (oh, I liked the dill mayo)
- Oven-baked Miso Barramundi & Prawn. The vinaigrette has strawberry cream tea infused.
- Dark Chocolate Marshmallow Meltdown
- A multi layered Chocolate of a Thousand Leaves
- Not forgetting my usual fav Black Forest Ice Blended because I liked the espresso crunch. I must have had this since uni days!

Always a leisure to sit down next to the MBS fountain. My favourite spot to people watch.

danielfooddiary Sending a rainbow your way.
The last stops of the “Dilmah Real High Tea” café challenge brought us to Tanjong Pagar.
I gave quite a loud “Oohhh” when I tried Miss Molly’s Rainbow Cake ($13 with Dilmah Tea) – moist, not too sweet, and goes well with the floral Rose with French Vanilla tea.

danielfooddiary The “Dilmah Real High Tea” judging continues at The Tea Party Café. Any tea drinkers working at Biopolis?
I admit that I haven’t been to Biopolis in a while, and was surprised at the quality of cakes here.
The home-made Carrot Cake was moist, and Scones different with a chewier texture.
Price of the high tea set very affordable at $7.50 per item (includes 1 food item & a pot of Dilmah Tea). #dilmahrht #dilmahtea #realhightea
