cypressfoss My new baby.. & in my colour too ...accompanied by a medium-length literary work penned by The Scholar , entitled 'Ode to a Vacuum Cleaner Defunct!'. Hilarious! 1d
  •   moriartyandco Yahoo 1d
  •   mollysmaison I chose my Miele based on the colour, mine's aqua! Enjoy! 1d
  •   cypressfoss don't worry @strudsemor, I asked for it! And there are only so many jewels a girl can wear at once without appearing vulgar 1d
  •   strudsemor So tru.... :-))) 1d
  •   cypressfoss It's my third Miele; the pet hair eventually kills them! But this one's much lovelier than the grey ones - maybe I'll keep it for 'best' @mollysmaison @mypinkdoor @la_vie_est_belle_xox @frankieandray xxxxxxx 1d
  •   simong9 Gosh you lucky thing , I got a stand for the Bbq !!!! Not the most romantic Christmas present !! Merry Christmas to all the Fossies and especially my favorite Eloise 1d
  •   cypressfoss Merry Christmas @simong9! Eloise sends licks, & Dave sends wags (Minty is too busy frantically stealing everyone else's Christmas snack/wind-up mouse & making a pile of them outside!) xxx 1d

cypressfoss may you all stay safe, stay cool, & have a happy Christmas Eve. I'm off to have a glass of champagne (& a chill-pill), before resuming my chores (doesn't just using that word make you feel virtuous?). Tomorrow I'll do a clumsy job of cooking for my family & nobody will care if the turkey is cold by the time the pork is cooked because my crackling is always AweSomE. Even if I do smoke the house out. May Santa bring you the company of those you love, & may they all behave themselves nicely (or if not be highly entertaining), & may you be showered with books ️ Lots & Lots of love & gratitude from my peaceful bend of the Campaspe river xxxxxxxx 2d
  •   strudsemor ️Super Merry Christmas and peasefull times. All the best 2d
  •   manteaunoir Merry Christmas darling! You are fabulous 2d
  •   k.j.martin Have a wonderful day tomorrow. I'm useless at crackling but I did pull off potatoes roasted in duck fat today 2d
  •   alexnihill Merry Christmas to you lovely Michelle from the Mountain folk. Have loved interacting with you on IG and look forward to a real live meeting in 2015. To to you and all your gorgeous furry and spiky friends @cypressfoss 2d

  •   cjhg @captainargente we have floorboards throughout most of the house so the hair makes big tumbleweed fur balls it's so disgusting & not even vacuuming daily rids us of them. I'm such a sucker & can't bare to keep them as purely outside dogs either so have to live with it 😕 3d
  •   boiledeggandsoldiers My favourite way to clean x 3d
  •   mollysmaison A gorgeous image xx 3d
  •   mypinkdoor So stunning! 3d

  •   bernadettesalt I have a son that sheds hair like a dog I kid you not and I have just painted all the floors white in our new house can you imagine, I live behind the vacuum. 3d

cypressfoss ooooooh! Girl-puss alerts me to the presence of a present ALL for meeeee!!!! {I think it's a necklace!} 5d
  •   cypressfoss Thank-you Jo @frankieandray I shall pass this onto the wrapper ️ (who even delivered me a glass of champagne as inducement to remain outside & not peek - he has some excellent qualities) xxx. And in case I forget later, merry merry merry Christmas to you & your fella & Ray & Tiger & I LOVE your caravan SO much! xxxxxx 4d
  •   cypressfoss Oh we're just faHbuLouS cracked-up crackpot crack-ups @iamannathomas @the_bite_size_project @thisbloominglife !!!!! xxxxxxx 4d
  •   cypressfoss Thank-you Liz! @lizmmorgan, I've been collecting decorations since my teens (I'm weird), & have some gorgeous ones (if I do say so myself ️). When I was a kid my nanna had a tree made from tinsel & I remember thinking it wasn't a 'proper' tree... But when we moved from a house with ginormously high ceilings my huge 'real looking' tree wouldn't fit here (gave-up on live trees after failure to pretend that Pinus radiata look AnYthinG like I want them to...), so I thought that if my new tree was going to be fake it may as well look really properly fake, & I love it!! Hmmm, I'd better check out your tree; I know it'll be Cate Blanchett to my Lady Gaga . Merry Christmas to you too gorgeous woman 4d
  •   frankieandray And to YOU and your menagerie of humans and fur kids, Michelle! Happiest of Christmas wishes. Keep all your marvellous words and pictures coming please! Here's to looking forward to more in 2015....and just possibly a return to your part of the land in the little van of our dreams! 4d
  •   cypressfoss And this time I won't be in Sydney! @frankieandray 4d
  •   lizmmorgan I love your silver tree! The other day I was in K-Mart and I saw a white tree and I loved that too. Christmas brings out my inner tizzy streak. It's a blessing for everyone that I don't own a bedazzler! My tree is as faux and as green as they come. It's fondly referred to a Priscilla Queen of the Christmas trees. I show no restraint whatsoever in decorating it and I don't think it has room for one more thing on it. It has everything from my childhood Christmas decs to ones my children made when they were little plus lovely ones we've been given and this year I'll be adding a heap of souvenirs we bought in Europe. Nothing colour co ordinated or neat about it! I'll post pics on Christmas Eve as it is at our beach house where we spend Christmas. 4d
  •   cypressfoss Oooh I can't WAIT! @lizmmorgan 4d

cypressfoss I forgot. I could never go anywhere without my mother. At forty-seven I still don't know what I'd do without her. These are from her beautiful garden on Mount Macedon, where (along with everything else she has excelled at in her life), she works away tirelessly without any encouragement or expectation of recognition or thanks. I love you mum x 2w
  •   mrantaeus I said , do you want a job @cypressfoss .... Lovely arranging dear ! 2w
  •   shelleydark Cypress they're irreplaceable. Mothers. Mums. Maters. 1w
  •   cypressfoss oh you thing @shelley.ross xo 1w
  •   cypressfoss oh Alison you are so nice! @thisbloominglife. My mum & I are best friends & my lazy verging-on incompetent efforts outside are zero-zip-nothing compared to her garden & gardening life. She lives & breathes & lies awake at night over her garden! She is an enormously creative-yet-highly-practical person, & pours so much energy into everything she does. You would love her 1w
  •   journeytribe Love this post, and totally agree...about me and my own mother of course. 4d
  •   cypressfoss thank-you @journeytribe - we are very lucky to have mums like we do huh? Not everyone is lucky enough to have a close & wonderful relationship with their mum :) 4d
  •   cypressfoss Thank @mrantaeus!!! Sorry it's taken me forever to get back to this - that time of year needless to say. I may indeed come knocking on your door for a job one day (like when I get this month's credit card bill) ! 4d
  •   cypressfoss @extongardener I bet they do not exaggerate!!!! I reckon you must be a fantastic mum Have a wonderful wonderful Christmas together @rufus48 @captainargente xxxx 4d

  •   alexnihill Oh I see now, you are comparing your home run with this magnificent trail. Right. Ok I will shut up now @cypressfoss 😶 2w
  •   jackanoryjones @cypressfoss sorry when I was saying you'd hate it I was doing a humorous (well that really worked) back pedal as I read your other post about your local walk after I told you how great it was here today (if that makes sense) either way it didn't work 2w
  •   cypressfoss @jackanoryjones Don't worry I know I'm just a spoilt middle-class female wallowing in the patch(es) of discontent I have to have #thediscontentshehadtohave. Will I ever see the light & find the peace within?! Obviously I need a guru! 2w

cypressfoss thank-you to @tuppenny_farm for inspiring me to finally get over my longing for an exercise route through beautiful surrounds & paved with smoothness (hello Bondi-to-Bronte! ), & accept, reluctantly, what I have. Rocks, reptiles, & noxious weeds. And in answer to your question re. the negative voices in your head; I forgot the most important bit: turn your music up. Can you tell when the endorphins kicked-in? xxx 2w
  •   alexnihill Tee hee!! Ok @cypressfoss drive the 20 mins to the Mount, park the car up the top and go hurtling down admiring the beauty and serenity. @mrantaeus or I will pick you up where you stop and deposit you back to your car, via a large wine stop. Is that better?!? 2w
  •   cjhg I spent nearly 10 years regretting that I didn't still live in Sydney, missing family & friends, thinking the only thing stopping me was $$$ - but last trip I had my Dad's car & HATED searching for a park, & then paying exorbitant amounts for the privledge, & dragging my children for blocks having to walk to our final destination, & teeny tiny parking spaces to manouver through in the parking stations. But that is reality, fantasy finds a taxi waiting at my doorstep whenever I need it, a beach house on the Northern Beaches & a nice big home in the Eastern suburbs that includes plenty of off street parking for friends & family to use when they visit. & instead of jogging try a skipping rope 2w
  •   onepinkchair There were times in my life when I was totally convinced I had made the wrong choices but now as I look back I realise that on the whole they were meant to be and it has been a good life. Some ups some downs some great sorrows some great joys but the biggest mistake made was selling the house in Sydney if we had kept that I would not, now be living a life of penury alone in the bush!!! But then in truth I would not be surrounded by some of the best friends I have ever had. I'll swap your gorse for my cat heads your run through open sky and silence for my walk of sticky kids and foul language. Which really shows that no matter where we are there are things we would all change and we all believe the grass is greener in the next paddock and maybe it is but who knows what disasters hide in that grass ready to pounce when least expected. Keep dancing, keep singing and keep running Foss and take each day as it comes and enjoy the little moments. Rant over!!! xxx 2w
  •   cypressfoss Thank-you for your rant of WISDOM Jules @onepinkchair! I LOVED IT!!!! 2w
  •   jstyling You go girl. Use the music and find your groove. Sometimes your path is the one especially for you. No one else can walk it. It's for your groove your strength. Take the influence from your visit and adapt to your path. 2w
  •   tuppenny_farm Xxx kick it girlfriend! I'm right behind you with the picnic and rose xxx 2w
  •   shelleydark Anyone who has smooth beautiful legs like that deserves a VERY UGLY ROAD 1w
  •   peregrinationz Right there with ya @cypressfoss nothing pretty about my route (or choices) either, but they make us who we are, and my IG would be a poorer place without you on it besides, I've tried to run that bondi-to-bronte walk, and between the snappy dogs, the wide-load prams, the speeding skaters and snap-happy tourists, you can't get 10 metres without stopping! All roads have their dark side turn that music up and drown it all out ️ xx 4d

  •   cypressfoss more fun on its way I hope @orchardsinspace 😙 ! 2w
  •   lynnieatkinson @cypressfoss I can smell them. By the way Michelle where to you live, the place with the ugly road intrigues me? 2w
  •   the_bite_size_project @lynnieatkinson it is actually I love road but I come from the other end. That was going to be my suggestion M.... I love Anna's guerrilla planting one and the other one is drive into town via the mustard house with the red roof? I love that road and the sweeping bend as you come around the corner to Foss. 2w
  •   cypressfoss Hi @lynnieatkinson ~ sorry it's taken me awhile. A bit frantic at the mo' (*eyes to heaven face*) We live outside Kyneton (hour or so from Melb)... the area really is terrible ~ so rocky & dry ~ but I must count my blessings cos our little house & garden are a messy but peaceful sanctuary from this crazy world. x 1w

cypressfoss Christmas pudding (beautifully light & cinnamon-y), vanilla ice~cream, custard & cherries. A perfect way to nudge this jaded soul into positively rosy-cheeked seasonal cheer. Set to go now Santa :) 2w
  •   alexnihill Oh that still causes confusion doesn't it! My workmates bought me a selection of the bronze gardening tools from du furmier as a leaving gift and I can't wait to go and hug @kittensmithers for suggesting that is needed the extra tall shovel AND the hoe AND 3 hand tools @cypressfoss 2w
  •   kittensmithers Oh. It was for you @alexnihill that the tools were for. I asked lots of questions to suggest the right ones. You can exchange them if they are not suitable. 2w
  •   cypressfoss can't wait to lunch at du Fermier on the 3rd @kittensmithers I hope the logistics of your Christmas lunch are coming-along well xx 2w
