crazydervish A fascinating take on one of my favorite dishes - Nasi Lemak. It's a quinoa lemak. I had the chance to check out an organic cafe with my mom near her home in Bangsar, where they conjured up a healthy/vegetarian version of Malaysia's national dish. And they did a great job. How? By keeping it tasty without sacrifice the authentic elements that make nasi lemak what it is. A big thumbs up. 13h

crazydervish These wings can lay claim to being the most famous wings in KL town. If memory serves me well, I've been licking these bones clean for at least 25 years though it could be more. Wong Ah Wah is a true KL institution. 1d

crazydervish Reading Roz Chast's graphic novel, 'Can't we talk about something more pleasant' is reading genius. It's a simple story - an only child watching her parents age well into their nineties and die. Yet nobody puts words and images together quite like Roz Chast does. She can do more in one panel than others do in pages. Honest, poignant and humorous. 3d

crazydervish Despite relatively low acidity, this bottle of Musingy from Mugnier was just delicious. There is also enough stuffing here to ensures it lasts a long, long time. A powerful wine with elegance and minerals. A low tone wine true to the hot vintage that was 03, it has tropical and jammy fruit notes on the nose and palate.I wish I could drink this more often..alas. 6d

crazydervish Artisan Cellars has picked up the Wine distributor of the year award. We've picked up a few awards the past years but it's the first time we have got an actual trophy. It looks a bit like the Champions League trophy..oh wait a minute. Actually it looks like a giant spittoon. Either way..thanks for the validation. We will do our best to keep up the passionate work! 7d
