claireyhewitt Found! When mum cleaned out another part of the shed, all my CBK clothes were found. Including Carmen Vana's original outfit. Lucky for her she still fits into her clothes from 1984. #cabbagepatchkid 1w
  •   danielleandreoli Styling. We still have a few cabbage patch dolls roaming around but none of them have the original clothes 1w
  •   purplecath I feel sorry for "Cassie" my Cabbage Patch. She was given to my little peeps and now she looks like she's been dragged through the ringer 1w
  •   thatspaceinbtwn I had the same one! Wonder whatever happened to Charmaine Effie... 7d
  •   claireyhewitt Poor Charmaine @thatspaceinbtwn I hope she isn't in a box somewhere. 7d
  •   claireyhewitt @purplecath a little wash and she will be back like new. 7d
  •   boomerangjane Haha 7d
  •   jo_stevens2014 I'm jealous.. I never had one (not even one of the rip off ones). Such a deprived childhood. 6d

claireyhewitt My one year old niece was my flower girl in a dress made from the scraps of my dress. Miss 6 tried it on tonight too. The zip didn't do up, but we loved it anyway.

claireyhewitt Wedding dresses are such amazing things. I love everything about them. Tonight my girls tried mine on. They couldn't believe how lovely it felt and the beautiful fabrics.
For all the ladies not here who should be.

claireyhewitt Which would you read first? 3w
  •   dannielle The Wife Drought 3w
  •   claireyhewitt Have you read it. @dannielle? 3w
  •   dannielle Not yet, but I've heard great things. You've reminded me to get a copy :) 3w
  •   nattalf Have read The Wife Drought and liked it as a nonfiction book. Am currently reading Useful and am really enjoying it. An easy to read fiction, @claireyhewitt :) 3w
  •   seanasmithpix Hey I'm reading Useful just now. And just finished All The Light. So clearly it's Wife Drought next. 3w

claireyhewitt Blogged... Hopefully you never have to try this food, but I did. You can read all about it on the blog. The link is in my profile.

  •   th3littleredhen Just tried to post a blog comment but it got eaten. I love the story behind & success of this product. I'm really interested in these inventions and ideas that are simple but profoundly life changing. I've heard about Plumpy Nut before but your post had some really interesting extra info. Esp about the competition in the market. My other favourite product featuring simple tech, relatively low production cost & that can be used without a great deal of training by people in their own communities is the Lifewrap-helps to save women from post partum haemmorage. http://www.midwiferytoday.com/articles/lifewraps.asp 3w
  •   claireyhewitt @th3littleredhen thanks for taking the time to read and comment and tell me of the other product. Reducing pp haemorrhage is pretty important too! 3w
  •   th3littleredhen @claireyhewitt it certainly is! Thanks goodness for people with inventive minds who put them to these kinds of uses instead of more commercially driven ones in search of the mega bucks. (Not that those inventions aren't often important too, but I think people in the situations like those requiring Plumpy Nut are not often the driving force behind those other kinds of creation.) 3w

claireyhewitt It's a tooth piñata! This little fella has arrived to tell me that 68% of Aussie parents have admitted to stealing and eating their kids Easter eggs BEFORE Easter even arrives. Phew, looks like I am in good company. 4w

claireyhewitt We got these plates as a wedding gift 10 years ago. I loved then so much I put them out of reach of husbands who break things and then forgot about them. I just found them while looking for something else and now I have them back I think they will be staying out. 1mon
  •   denysewhelan We are now using our wedding dinner set.. Only took us 44 years! Best used methinks!! 1mon
  •   boomerangjane Yes!! Rather use & chance breaking what you have loved, than not seeing, using, enjoying them locked up in cupboard. My mum was this way with her 40 yr old gorgeous Noritake set & her mother's Royal Albert dinner sets. Now thankfully we are making family memories with them. 1mon
  •   claireyhewitt Exactly @boomerangjane we use the dinnerware that matches it everyday but I forgot about the serving plates , have found four! This is also a Noritake, I love it. 1mon
  •   claireyhewitt @denysewhelan yep, I think it's time to use yours too! 1mon
  •   fizzybees They absolutely should be used! 1mon

claireyhewitt Today's media release was delivered by the bunny himself. There are so many ways to spend your day together as a family on Good Friday and many of them are also ways to raise money for the RCH. We are off to Werribee a Mansion for the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt. 1mon
