  •   s13w @cincyvintagetrader I can't tell but looks like one is feminine and other hand masculine typical of matrimony symbol of that time. If gender neutral usually represents earthly farewell/heavenly welcome right? 2d
  •   cincyvintagetrader @s13w Sandy, I do believe you are correct. As I look at this picture more closely, one sleeve is different from the other. Feminine and masculine, 2d
  •   cincyvintagetrader A symbol of matrimony. You have a great eye my friend!!! ;-))) 2d

  •   kayeandcompany_ny Ahhh, your post has reminded me of a mosaic pin in the shape of a mandolin and a heart shaped ring that my italian great grandmother brought back for my Mother from one of her trips "home". I haven't seen them since I was little, I must ask her about them! 6d
  •   cincyvintagetrader @kayeandcompany_ny Aren't they wonderful?! The detail is amazing. I just found the mates to both of these mosaic earrings ;-))) 6d
  •   fair_lass Thanks for reminding me to wear my grandmother's micro mosaic pin . 4d
  •   fair_lass They're lovely, aren't they? 4d
  •   cincyvintagetrader @fair_lass awhh, Thank you! They have such an interesting history. 4d
  •   fair_lass Please share some of the interesting history. I'd love to learn more about them. 4d
  •   cincyvintagetrader @fair_lass There is quite a bit of info online about the art of mosaic jewelry. These pieces most likely came from someone vacationing in Italy , in the late 19th or early 20th century. They were quite popular as souvenir items. 4d
  •   fair_lass thanks Jennie! 4d
