christineciar I'm not gonna lie, prepping for this comp has been one of the most mentally challenging things I've ever talked myself into doing.. For others it may be easier but personally, my life is filled with family events which ALWAYS involve big feasts and yummy foods. I refuse to lock myself away because I'm "prepping" but It's not easy sitting there watching them chow down on cake and ice cream while I watch, because it doesn't fit my macros.

Yes I get hangry, Yes I still carry a lot fat around my belly, No, I'm not gonna have a 6 pack anytime soon.
Despite all that, I'm so proud of how far I've come. my goal was to step on stage and that's what I'm gonna do! and this is my journey, nobody elses.

Made macro friendly chicken nuggets using wholemeal bread and 200g chicken breast. Soooo good. Going to sleep with my tummy very satisfied! Macros for this were, 53p 14c 13f 🐓

christineciar Someone told me the other day that if I don't eat exactly every 4 hours, my body would "eat away" at my muscles..

Despite the common misconception that nutrient timing is essential for muscle growth, controlled studies show that there is no defined correlation between time of nutrient consumption and muscle growth (considering the variables of course) Don't believe me? Read the studies (not just one!) the published journals, don't just go by a meme with a pretty picture in the background.

Do what works for you!! Hungry every 4 hours? Eat! Prefer 3 large meals a day? Do it! Educate yourselves, read. christineciar Sorry for the nakedness ..Last night I decided to throw on a bikini and practice posing and almost burst into tears. I was horrified, I have 7 and a half weeks to lose ALOT of body fat before my first comp.

It wasn't until I had searched my mums facebook for old photos that I actually realised, despite having a hell of a long way to go, I've come pretty far.

Most of the credit goes to my coach @brefit11 (she is amaaazing!) and the science that is IIFYM. I've lost just over 7kg and still enjoy nutella EVERY DAMN DAY. No cutting out food groups and up until about 8 weeks ago I still ate McDonalds (take that broscience!) This is NOT an after pic, rather a progress pic because I still have so far to go! Thanks to my babe @nickmaaloga_ for reminding me everyday that anything is possible if you put your mind to it, push and grind everyday.
