chrisbodnarphoto A beautiful bride walking down the aisle with her absolutely smitten father is one of my favourite parts of a wedding day. When you're surrounded by a beautiful #Canadiana landscape of #SherwoodInn in #Muskoka, it's only more magical! 2d

chrisbodnarphoto Had SO much fun shooting @joyoushealth for her upcoming 2nd cookbook! I'm oh-so-excited to be shooting this project with her, especially since it's alongside stylist/designer extraordinaire @typeandcolour (who shot this image!). Be prepared for some serious food goodness over the coming months, shot on all sorts of mediums (the #pentax #645z + #fuji #fp100c@shown here!). Anyone that knows me knows that I'm a serious lover of food, and Joy's first book #joyoushealth was SO fantastic + delish! I love being able to work with past brides. :) ... Oh, and an incredibly large shoutout to the wonderful Tori of #torisbakeshop for letting us use their beautiful space for this shoot! 2d

chrisbodnarphoto Our first reading session before bed! He was SO amazed and curios about all of the colorful pages. We may have a reader on our hands, folks! 2w

chrisbodnarphoto Co-sleeping had worked SO well for us - especially Tara + Lachlan. Not having to listen to your wee babe scream in the middle of the night for food is so relieving ... Not to mention we get to see his cute chubby face the moment he wakes us up in the AM. Parenthood also means I now sleep in my housecoat - mostly bc I'm completely useless when I first wake up, and burping duty is serious business! Parenthood also means that I'm in dire need of a haircut/beard trim. 2w
  •   _rebeccasiewert I love this!! We co slept with London till she was about 8 months and she still comes in our bed once in while! It's a life saver! 2w
  •   _nicoledee_ this is so, good. 2w
  •   nazaninsin Süß 2w
  •   richardlemieux Our daughter is almost one and we still have her our room. Co-sleeping has tremendous benefits in the babies growth. 2w
  •   reazavier We co slept until my daughter was 4, it was awesome. When my son, he slept with us for a year and decided he wanted his own room, now there is no way getting him to oven sneak in with us :( kids are so different from each other 2w
  •   tara_mcmullen Two peas in a sleepy pod! 2w
  •   andreasphoto.co Parenting = aging. Enjoy! He'll be rushing off to Grade 1 before you know it. 2w

chrisbodnarphoto One of my favourite things to do during a wedding day is to whisk away the bride + groom during the middle of dinner to take some warm + glowy portraits at sundown. We don't get a long 'golden hour' here in Canada like they do in California ... 'Golden 10 minutes' is more like it! ... But when the sun starts to slide down the tree tops of #Muskoka, there isn't a single place I'd rather shoot. #Canadiana at it's most beautiful, if you ask me. 3w

chrisbodnarphoto Such a beautiful evening outside! It only seemed right to take Lachlan out for a stroll. @tara_mcmullen also makes our baby the most stylish dude ever. #allthebayallthetime #rightbeforehescreamed 3w

chrisbodnarphoto While I absolutely love documenting bride prep, it's always nice being able to photograph the groom. Grooms don't get enough love! :) 4w

chrisbodnarphoto Angus likes to pretend he's not interested or curious about Lachlan ... And then we constantly catch him in the act of scoping him out. These two are going to be so funny in the coming years! #adventureswithmighty #imightlikewhisky 1mon

chrisbodnarphoto We gave little Lachie his first bath yesterday. To say that he loved it would be a huge understatement! Also - our child is a little chubster! 1mon

chrisbodnarphoto I know everyone says that time flies by so quickly when you have a newborn. That they grow so quickly. It's so true. At just over a month old, Lachlan feels like he's growing so quickly on a day-to-day basis. At the midwife 4-week visit today, we found out he weighs 11lbs8oz, nearly 3lbs larger than his birth weight in 1 month, which seems totally crazy. All of that being said, it's so nice to take a step back and see just how little he still really is ... A little man with little hands, little feet, little lips, and a huge heart (and tummy!). chrisbodnarphoto Had so much fun shooting/laughing/making magic with @joyoushealth today! Can't wait to share what we've been up to! Special thanks to styling by @typeandcolour + sexy assistant man @1stnamewalker ... #wheresthegarlic 1mon
  •   chrisbodnarphoto My pleasure @justintearney ! I haven't shot digital 35mm in many years, so couldn't tell you. From what I've read, it smokes most anything out at the moment, tho. 1mon
  •   brianlabrada howdy! So Pentax is sending me a 645z to test but only with a 55mm 2.8. What would you recommend lens wise to get a Contax 80mm 2.0 look? What are you shooting as a normal lens? 6d
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @brianlabrada how did you get ahold of them?! I've wanted to touch base but no one gets back to me! .. As for the lens, the only one I can think of that gets that Zeiss look is the 110mm f/2. It ends up acting more like an 85mm on 35mm, instead of a 50ish, tho. I've got the 55mm 2.8, 75mm 2.8 (which is a FANTASTIC and cheap lens!), 110mm f2 Zeiss, 105mm f2.4 P67 lens, and the 120mm f4 Macro, which is also an insanely beautiful lens and super sharp! The 1.3 crop makes depth of field a little deeper, so the 110 f2 is a beauty for portraits! You can also get so close with the macro that your DOF can be pretty crazy, too. 6d
  •   brianlabrada I walked into Samy's camera store in Pasadena and Pentax was having an event and just talked to the rep, showed him my site, etc... Luck I guess. Lol 6d
  •   brianlabrada Look up some of those lenses... For $$ sake I'll buy the 75mm 2.8 for now and after I test decide on the 110 Zeiss. Thanks for you help Chris! 6d
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @brianlabrada good call! It can be hard to find a copy of the 110 in great shape, so keep your eyes peeled! Could you forward me the name of your Pentax contact, too? Maybe they can help me get in touch with someone here in Canada! Do you have my email address? 6d
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @brianlabrada also, get the A manual focus version of the lenses - so easy to focus and so much cheaper! I bought my 75mm for $125 and the 120mm for $275! 6d
  •   brianlabrada I email you the Pentax reps email. Did you get it? 3d

chrisbodnarphoto He's only 17 days old, and I've already determined his future life ... With the way this kid eats and kicks, he's bound to be a sprinter for a WorldTour cycling team. He will also grow up riding dirt bikes and touring the world via motorcycle with his Dad (and his Mom if we can convince her!). That's just the way the world works. :) #morningswithlachie 2mon

chrisbodnarphoto Is there anything better than cuddling with your little dude?! This first week with Lachlan aka Mighty aka Lachie has been such a treasure ... An eye opening experience of love, responsibility, and taking a step back from the hectic life of running two businesses and really enjoying family. Happy 1 week birthday, Little Mighty! 2mon

chrisbodnarphoto After 28 hours of intense labour, with contractions averaging 3.5 mins the entire way, and a transfer from home to St Josephs with our incredible birthing team, @tara_mcmullen helped introduce the world to our little Mighty, now also going by the name of Lachlan! At 8lbs 6oz, we can't wait to let His Might Adventure truly begin. :) 2mon
