chrisbodnarphoto We're approaching the 9th month in this crazy action-filled pregnancy, and this is becoming a more common sight. Anyone that knows Tara knows that she's extremely strong willed and extremely hard working. It's been very tough to convince her to slow down during this entire pregnancy, but I think it's starting to catch up to her. Don't get me wrong - I wouldn't want her to be any other way, and I'm so thankful + happy that she's so motivated - but I'll be the first to admit that it puts a huge smile on my face to stumble upon her taking a moment to nap with Angus + Betty on the couch. If anyone deserves a nap, it's @tara_mcmullen . 6d

chrisbodnarphoto I may be a little biased, but @tara_mcmullen is a hot momma! #TheParker is also an incredible place to shoot, and one of the locations we shot at for my 'A Mighty Adventure' project, documenting our pregnancy with the wee one we call Mighty ... This is from Week 13, which you can find on my blog (link in profile)! 1w

chrisbodnarphoto Can't we all be friends? While I will continue to shoot weddings, portraits, and personal work on film, I recently added a digital to the family (GASP!). It will be used for reception coverage as well as still life + editorial work. I could never give up my #Pentax #645n + #Kodak film stocks, but the #645Z fits into the family nicely! 2w
  •   jhnfong I'll need to sample that on my next layover in TO... 2w
  •   cyclekraft Contemplating renting the 645Z to see if it's worthy of replacing our Phase One. PLeASe post examples with a link. Would love to see studio examples and portraiture. 2w
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @cyclekraft I'm not much of a reviewer/pixel peeper/etc. All I care about is if the camera can actually take pictures ... I leave the rest to the forum folks! All I can tell you is that i enjoyed shooting it when the lights were low at last nights wedding, and - to me - the process is much more than the outcome! I'm sure you'd love it if you're a medium format guy, tho! 2w
  •   cyclekraft Thanks @chrisbodnarphoto , I'm sure it kills in real life scenarios. My concern is how it holds up in a studio environment, where pixels ARE peeped . As soon as they're available to rent I'll probably grab it. Thanks for the response. 2w
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @cyclekraft it uses the same sensor as the H5D-50c and the P1 IQ250 so I'm sure it'll suffice :)) 2w
  •   cyclekraft @chrisbodnarphoto Why didn't I know that?! I should have known that detail. Even more anxious now. 2w
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @cyclekraft it's why I couldn't resist! Medium format ftw! 2w
  •   barbara_rahal Nice!!! 1w

chrisbodnarphoto I don't typically like most pictures taken of me. That being said, my dear friend @thisismaxpower just sent me a few that I really really dig! Some taken in our studio, and some taken on our NYC trip in November to check out Chromeo. All shot on his #Hasselblad w/ #Kodak #TriX and scanned by @cariboulab . You might see one or two more soon. Thanks for taking some killer portraits, buddy! 1mon

chrisbodnarphoto Photographing bikes is damn hard but damn fun, especially when they're high-end foreign beauties such as this #Ceepo with beautiful #Xentis wheels! Shot for @blacksmithcycle - the best damn bike shop in North America, if not internationally! #blacksmithcycle 2mon

chrisbodnarphoto While I told myself that I wouldn't show any of Tara's latest pregnancy photos until our blog project catches up (check out A Mighty Adventure on my blog!), I couldn't help but share this most recent one! Love love love! @tara_mcmullen at 24 weeks. :) 2mon
  •   marksperry It's not like crazy tack sharp at 2.8 but I liked it on the 645D for reportage style images. Considering I'm not all about insane sharpness I'm probably gonna get one some time. They're cheap enough. 2mon
  •   katelinbarkey @chrisbodnarphoto These colours are amazing! May I ask how much you usually overexpose P800? #questionsonquestions 2mon
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @katelinbarkey @roblaurnoff typically between 1-2 stops overexposed, but in natural light, it looks great both at 800 and even at 100! Such a beautiful film stock during sunny days - it really makes blues POP like crazy! It's a terrible low light film, believe it or not, but outside, it's a dream, and a new favourite! :) 2mon
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @katelinbarkey it really changes the hues in colours, but keeps skin tones amazing. :) 2mon
  •   katelinbarkey @chrisbodnarphoto thanks so much Chris! That was really helpful. Hoping to try it out soon! 2mon
  •   sfrancescut Excellent shot. I just spent so much time checking out your stuff... really impressed. Love it! Relly glad I stumbled on your feed. 1mon
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @sfrancescut thanks! I so greatly appreciate the love! Looking forward to seeing some of your work, too! :) 3w

chrisbodnarphoto This is how Angus spends most of his days ... Sleeping on the studio couch. Most likely dreaming about eating Muttballs and being chased by big furry dogs. #hesafurrychubbychaser #morningswithangusandbetty 2mon

chrisbodnarphoto Eat your heart out you stupid #Contax645 ! You've got nothin' on the #Pentax #645N + #Zeiss 110 f/2 ! ... For real. This combo kills it. 2mon
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @erincampbellhughes the Contax is expensive bc of all of those great people that shoot with them, not to mention the fact that they produced far less than most any other system. The 645N is really incredible - I've been surprised, actually - and it still has my fav aspect of the Contax (one of the only things I liked) - the physical shutter speed dial. I'm excited to see what the 110 + Z produce, too! I'll still be nearly all film, but I'll have that for reception coverage and still-life/ad work. 2mon
  •   _nicoledee_ first week of July 4w
  •   taylordthegreat Niiiiice. I was told you were the guy to talk to when deciding if I want to get a Pentax 645n or an H1/ H2. Any words of advice? Also, what is the 110mm monster I see here?? 3w
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @_nicoledee_ remember how I'm super lame and just saw this now?! Thank you - you're the besssssst! 3w
  •   chrisbodnarphoto @taylordthegreat to be honest, both are truly great! The H2 system is magnificent, and - to date - is my favourite 645 setup. It just fits me in every way, but my favourite advantages are the leaf shutter, the quiet winding of film (it's WAY louder on the 645n), the instant switch between 120/220, the lithium battery that seemingly lasts forever, the insanely bright viewfinder, and those Fuji (yes - they're built by Fuji) lenses are insanely sharp and modern. To be honest, the only reason I switched to the 645n is because I'm adding a 645z to my arsenal, and I wanted to trim down some of my kit choices (I already have too many cameras!). The lens here is the insanely beautiful Zeiss 110 f2 from the 200/2000 V-series Hasselblads! I bought an adaptor and shoot it on the 645n ... IMO, it's the most beautiful piece of native 645 glass I've ever seen or used, and handily bests the Contax Zeiss 80 f2 ... It's even harder to nail focus, tho! :) 3w
  •   taylordthegreat I bet! The dof has to be paper thin. Well I have also decided on the pentax for now for much the same reasons you've stated- I also plan on eventually getting a Z and it just makes sense to start a nice collection of lenses for it. But dat hass.... Sigh. I'll prob own both someday, let's be honest. :) 3w
  •   taylordthegreat Thanks for your input man. Much appreciated! 3w

chrisbodnarphoto Today is the day that @tara_mcmullen received possession of her new house! It's such an incredible place to raise a family, and baby Mighty is so so SO lucky! Now all I need to do is set up the charcoal BBQ and get to work on the backyard ... I might have to call on @cycleographer , @jamiematheson and @thisismaxpower for a little handy help! :) 2mon
