chik_pea The Second Coming
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

W.B. Yeats

chik_pea “Because when we start deceiving ourselves into thinking not that we want something or need something, not that it is a pragmatic necessity for us to have it, but that it is a moral imperative that we have it, then is when we join the fashionable madmen, and then is when the thin whine of hysteria is heard in the land, and then is when we are in bad trouble. And I suspect we are already there.” Joan Didion 2w
  •   chik_pea @morningmusic strange days indeed 2w
  •   vikkipwillis Beautiful! 2w
  •   rhavhenclaw It's beautiful :) the quote as well (something to ponder) 2w
  •   chik_pea @rhavhenclaw thank you so much. Your kind words are appreciated. I highly recommend anything the late great Joan Didion wrote. 2w
  •   kip_sikora Great quote. Great image. Trimaginator? 2w
  •   chik_pea @kip_sikora thank you Kip : ) Joan Didion is one of my favorite writers. This is an abstract edit of a photograph of detail from an painting I'm working on.. It's gone thru several edits in decim8 and icolorama (the lines are from that app) - I've finally had the time to really work with icolorama - the possibilities are endless. Oh and a final color adjust in ProCamera (I dig their analog filter options) 2w

  •   chik_pea @vikkipwillis this is the original 2w
  •   vikkipwillis Omg. I saw that the other day and thought how beautiful. I love how the mediums work together, push & pull... it's beautiful. I'd be terrified to mix medium. I'm a sissy tho. I stick to oil paint and hope for the best. Lol. Great job! I hope you teach this technique. If u do give me a holler. 2w
  •   chik_pea @vikkipwillis thank you : ) I am making it up as I go along, to be honest.. This is my first attempt at painting - I'd be happy to share any knowledge with you. 2w
  •   vikkipwillis You are kidding!!! Wow! That's crazy! 2w
  •   chik_pea @vikkipwillis working on the 30x project inspired me to create "from the gut" for lack of a better phrase.. 2w
  •   vikkipwillis Oh I bet! Lots of inspiration under one roof! 2w
