chefmpennington @michaelprice Yes really. Repeat this one to your foraging friends and remember it well. #Amanita 17h
  •   michaelprice I suppose I can see what you mean, thanks 17h
  •   cheframbles Beautiful amanita muscaria. (I wont ask how people confuse them with puffballs). Also Chef don't you always slice all your puffballs to make sure they are mainly cream/white? I never use any turning brown/green/blue/yellow. There are two types of puffballs in my Chicagoland area a brown and white one both with white flesh. Safe foraging! 17h
  •   chefmpennington @cheframbles yeahp that's the right way. Do feel a certain sense of responsibility posting wild edibles on here though. :) 17h
  •   lisalovesstrawberries There is no ones feed in the huge www that I love more than yours Mr @chefmpennington 11h
  •   jenniferobinsway @beta5chocolates look at this! 10h
  •   cheframbles @chefmpennington I more than understand! I do appreciate you doing so for anyone who is interested/forages. So few books out there that even truly illustrate what is what. I would hate to see anyone getting madly gasto sick from a bad mushroom. I've yet to eat this muscaria, nor am I chasing the umm err "said visions" from such. I'm just a man who loves to forage the tasty delights and serve them to my clients. 9h
  •   cheframbles I hope you don't mind me picking your brain here Chef. Any fun fun way you like to enjoy lil puffballs? I find they dehydrate fantastically or well air dry halved. Really enjoy their texture in mushroom dashi ~ style soups. Obviously the nice large ones serve up lovely in butter. We've even used them as the bottom of dishes to plate on and go from there. 9h
  •   nitucandid @appy_rao cream studded chocolate mushroom! You should grow them at home! 3h

chefmpennington Tread very carefully when foraging for stump puffballs. Sometimes folk have confused them for young unopened amanita like we have here. #deadly 18h

  •   drjacksonuk Hops have been used as a sedative/ anxiolytic for century's normally in conjunction with passiflora sp or valerian, the brand 'calms' uses them as a key ingredient Dr J x 16h
  •   philipmeeker @drjacksonuk any advice on getting passioflora incarnata fruit to ripen before it falls off the vine? I have only had the divine pleasure of tasting it once. 15h
  •   drjacksonuk Easy @philipmeeker just place on windowsill ripe fruit will resemble a wrinkled prune. Its the leaves though that are used as an anxiolytic Dr J x 7h

chefmpennington As good as it looks yew certainly don't want to eat that. Seeds deadly, yet flesh delicious. At own risk. 18h
