catnee The sunshine is pretty amazing today. My squats today were a little less amazing. I still have some nasty hip crunchiness I need to figure out. I'm pretty sure I'm going to get a massage and be the creep that asks for for a inner thigh massage. Sorry in advance. Today I did a "bunch" of box squats because those don't hurt and accessories. catnee I had a AMAZING time competing with #TeamSavage yesterday. I ended 7/9 and broke my previous state records in squat, bench, and deadlift in the 114 drug tested open class. My hip was bothering me a bit and I was a little disappointed in my squat. I ended up getting 170 for my second attempt and missing 185 for my third. That's a 20# meet PR and i am very proud of myself for executing the most technically strong and deep squats of my life. My bench I got my second attempt of 85 pounds (I think?). It might have been 80 something. I missed my third. A little disappointed in that because I've hit 100 a few times in training but again my technique has improved immensely and I'm very excited to see what I can get in competition next time. I pr-ed my deadlift at 253 which is a 13# Pr and a 16# meet PR. I'm especially happy with how fast and easy that deadlift was. I'm so so excited to try for a lot more. I also has my first experience with pre-workout and I credit that energy for my deadlift speed. Ive never lifted that fast and powerfully in my life. Finished with a 501(ish) total and a 1st place finish In the women's drug tested 114 class. I'm so happy and thankful for my team as well as @fistifluffs @heartshapedsky @crashxoverride and @jmorris.fitness for coming out and supporting me. I don't think I've ever loved anything more than I love competing in powerlifting with a awesome group. Thanks to @jeronkerridge for the coaching and all the technique work the past couple of weeks. Looking forward to lots of Pr's in a few months with team @plantbuilt! Hopefully I'll have some videos to post soon! 2w
