camp_well Here's a little taste of people camping well to spruce up your Monday evening
This photo is from a camping trip that myself and some friends took last week, to Lake MacKenzie, outside of Tulia, TX. We canoed about a quarter mile out to an island in the middle of the lake, and hiked all of our gear up an 80ft cliffside, to get to the top of the island, for this #campspot. Waking up to this view made it all worth it. (Via @gunnarwidowski) #campwell

camp_well At once, without a word being said, we noticed the sun peeking over the mountains, and all simultaneously ran up to the lookout point, and stood and watched the sun rise. #campwellness 3w

camp_well This is a shot from the first time that we took #PenelopeTheWesty camping. So many great times have been had with her, and so many adventures lay ahead of us. If you're looking for an #adventuremobile, there truly is no better vehicle than a #vanagon. The #campwellness that abounds will be immeasurable. 3w

camp_well Windows are meant for sticking your head out of.
This photo is from a trip we took to The Great Smokey Mountain National Park earlier this summer. Upon arrival to the park, and with groves of trees passing by on either side of us, naturally we unbuckled our seat belts, climbed halfway out of the car, and experienced the mountain roads like never before. I encourage anyone to do the same. #campwellness

camp_well Float on.
This is another from our trip to Bear Lake, Colorado a few weeks ago. We carried this canoe a mile or so down a mountain road, then a friendly local picked us up in his 1965 Jeep, threw the canoe to the back of it, and drove us the rest of the way. The people that we meet on our trips are what make it all worth it. #campwellness Via: @gunnarwidowski

camp_well Be present in the moment.
This was taken on an ATV trip up to Tincup Pass, in Colorado last year. After the high adrenaline from the climb up the pass settled, we all got off of our vehicles, and stood at this lake, just being in the moment for about half an hour. This is one of my fondest memories. #campwellness

camp_well The summer nights here in the panhandle of Texas are near perfection. The temperature drops to a comfortable 75 degrees, and sometimes you don't even need a tent to sleep in. We drove out into a pasture, out on my buddy's farm, and slept on the ground out under the bare night sky, right next to #TheodoreTheThing The #campwellness was in full effect. camp_well "Chop your own wood and it will warm you twice." -Henry Ford

Seriously. There is no comparison to the satisfaction of chopping up a fallen tree, and then using that same wood to warm yourself and cook your food. Be careful, though! If you're using a traditional axe, the axe head can come loose, and fly off the handle, like what happened on this trip multiple times. This photo is from our Bear Lake trip, a couple of weeks ago. #campwellness (Via: @gunnarwidowski)
