Sorry not sorry for feeling so patriotic and saddened... It's been a sombre Sunday for the whole nation Thank you for all your hard work, dedicating the whole 50 years to evolve Singapore to a place we're all proud to call our Home. ️ Not only the nation mourns, even the world joined us.
You're a true legend. Rest in Peace now, sir. Please watch Singapore grow and continue your legacy, and feel proud from above, while you reunite with the love of your life. ️ 国父,一路好走。

bunnybunnz Ah, I really can't help it I really need to say this.
I was at Raffles place today and saw how the queue snaked from the parliament all the way through the bridge, ~~until the end of boat quay... It was so heartwarming and I felt so fuzzy inside, feeling truly humbled. There were so many people from all walks of life, the young and active, and the old and frail, and not only Singaporeans. People (PMs/tycoons/etc) from overseas even flew over to pay their tribute.
This really shows so much- how great a man Mr LKY was. My heart sank when I saw so many elderly queueing in the scorching sun, and so many people holding umbrellas. There was even an ambulance cos apparently an elderly fainted but still wanted to pay respect to Mr. Lee.
Touching sights when shops & businesses contributed by providing chairs for people to sit, and giving out free water.
The Lying-in-state extended from original til 8pm to 12mn, then to 24 hours now till Saturday because the response was overwhelming :') and I think even overwhelming is an understatement.
Was chatting with my yoga pal this afternoon who's trying to apply for a PR here and he went "you guys don't know how lucky you are! Here it's safe, clean, food is good, people are nice, transporting is easy...." And he told me bout his own country that kinda surprised me about him saying "after all the taxes and expenses I'll be left with 40 cents every month."
It's human nature to complain, especially Singaporeans. I guess sometimes we only focus on what's lacking instead of the good things that are already available for us- renowned education system, clean water, safe city, clean environment.... We all take them for granted and looking at all these and hearing stories from everywhere, I'm so glad I live in Singapore and being so well protected. I'm so thankful for what we have. We're only 50 years old yet we're one of the world's cosmopolitan city and I know Mr Lee is not the sole person who made this happen, but his influence and amazing leadership surely did- alongside with the capable people by him to help him shape the Singapore we have today. Thank you so much, Sir. Your legacy always stays

bunnybunnz You know, in yoga people say, "Aim for progression, not perfection." And the only thing we should focus on is to make the best of what we are and what we have, instead of thinking of what we are not and can't have.

After all, at the end of the day,
The journey is what matters most.
