bucketfeet "One of the first things that helped me was getting over my fear of being critiqued. Like any type of artist, work can be very personal, but if you want to grow that means you have to risk getting knocked down. It took me a while to “bare my soul,” but after I started sharing my work I got a ton of feedback (good and bad). I wish I had started much earlier in life." | Words and art by @hello.coco : #BucketFeet 2w

bucketfeet Before @jefflymolina had her own solo art show in Chicago she had been working as a waitress at her family's diner in Miami. "I met this wonderful family that came into the restaurant. This family, this couple, who are very important collectors and also a very prominent family in Chicago, have a villa in Miami. My work was hung on the walls and they would ask people who the artist was. Some people didn't know that I was the artist--new waiters--but most of them knew. After a month, they went directly to my aunt and asked her how to contact me. My aunt called me really mad and said if I wanted to stop selling fish then I needed to come there and introduce myself to these people. They actually purchased the first painting I ever sold." | Baskerville 4 by @hyperfisch : #BucketFeet 2w
