brucekgreen The @sogknives Powerlock is one of my favorite non weapon centric multitools. The compound leverage on these is amazing. #sog #takepoint #sogknives 23h

brucekgreen My Series 2 @multitaskertools is my only weapon centric multitool. I think my favorite feature is the D2 Billet pliers. 23h
  •   redsknfan_rich So given a choice between the multitasker and say a letherman charge or SOG powerassist. Which would you say is a better tool? Mostly comparing pliers and drivers (and only occasional weapons use)? 15h
  •   brucekgreen @redsknfan_rich that's kind of a big question because I think preference will play a role. Also, there are multiple versions of the charge and the multitasker. I have no experience with the power assist. I own a Powerlock and I love it. The compound Pliers are awesome. The multitasker is an AR centric multitool. The other multitools don't have that capability unless you go with the leatherman MUT (I have no personal experience with that either) the pliers from the multitasker are probably the strongest because they are billet d2. You won't be snapping those off very easily. I've snapped off pliers from other multitools before. Not the Powerlock or charge mind you but other brands and models. Price points are different depending on models. I would say just narrow down the features that you have to have, price point (what you want to spend), and maybe blade steels. Some models have 420 blades, and some models have s30v etc. Also, another thing to consider is what tools you want accessible while the multitool is closed. The sog power assist may not have any tools accessible while closed (the Powerlock is like that). The multitasker comes with a good set of drivers and I'm not sure about the others. I have a gerber that came with a set and maybe the charges do, but my sog Powerlock and my charge didn't come with drivers. They are compatible but didn't come with any. I have multitool ADD so I have several different ones I use depending on the day, venue, and intended use. 14h
