browneyedgirlygirl Stucco's not my thing anymore...but, if I had to take one for the team yellow it would be! Oh, and an iron gate, lush palm trees and the beach in the backyard would have to suffice as well. 4d

browneyedgirlygirl And off to the side of our deck ... this is why we love this particular room here. The beach is practically yours alone. 4d

browneyedgirlygirl As you come out of our room, walk on the back patio, look L-E-F-T and you have a lush garden area -Ponte Vedra just transports you to 1950's beach vibe. 4d

browneyedgirlygirl Last time I was here, my selfie included a wig...not the case this time! Praise Him for my health and HAIR (even though it's giving me fits here at the beach-instant curl the second I walk outside ) 5d

browneyedgirlygirl Still celebrating our 19th wedding Anniversary (which was June 15) with an outstanding dinner tonight at our favorite place to eat while in Ponte Vedra, FL. Funny story: it took a while for our dessert (a delicious blueberry tart) to come out, no biggie. Out server told us that they had sent their pastry chef out to get an ingredient they needed for a dish (not ours) and he got pulled over while out. So all the "cooks" we're trying to write "Happy Anniversary" in chocolate to no avail. Luckily, the pastry chef didn't get that ticket 🏻(the chef had on his restaurant uniform, plus the ingredients he needed and was able to explain that's why he was in a hurry ) and made it back just in time to write out our congratulations in proper cursive. Otherwise, the whole night was ruined-LOL! 7d

browneyedgirlygirl We've had a great day here at the beach. We've seen an osprey fly right over our heads with its morning catch, a squirmy, shiny fish. Visited with a member of the club we met last time we were here. We've stayed in touch and will get to eat breakfast with him in the morning. I've finished a book, read 3 magazines, took a short nap and packed up just in time for an afternoon beach shower to start. It's so ironic that I LIVE for a good storm now days! I was terrified as a child. I would stuff cotton balls in my ears, put on my dad's motorcycle helmet and hide under the bar in our house. I was serious about avoiding the storm. The cool analogy here: the storms of life can't be avoided. You can grow during stormy times and appreciate them in some ways after the fact. 1w

browneyedgirlygirl Just wanted to give a quick update. We leave in the AM for a trip to our favorite place, Ponte Vedra Inn & Club!! Super excited. But, first we had to get this appointment out of the way. It was good news today and what I had prayed for. I've had this "place, tumor, dead tissue"...whatever you want to call it show back up on my liver after the last PET scan in May (this is the 3rd time there has been a "tumor" in this area of my liver). A follow up MRI showed a more detailed image. Nothing too alarming though but it needs to go (I had put this info on FB 2-3 weeks ago). Anyway, both of my Oncologists agreed it would be a good idea to see an Interventional Radiologist at Emory. This Dr. usually treats people with liver cancers but has also treated those of us with Breast Cancer that have had tumors spread to the liver. We had our meeting today and it was GREAT. He agreed that something needed and could be done about this "tumor". It measures about the size of a peanut M & M (his words-LOL!) Well, it's the ONLY peanut M & M I've ever NOT LIKED!!! Anyway, to the point. In a couple of weeks (they will be calling me to set up the procedure date), I will go down to the hospital at Emory and have an outpatient procedure called "Percutaneous Ablation" (Microwave Ablation). I will be under general anesthsia while the Dr. uses real time imaging guidance to "see" exactly where he needs to go. He will go through my skin, muscle, liver...and insert a probe (needle) into the center of the tumor and basically use heat to kill the tumor. There's a 90% success rate with this procedure. Now, this is just with the one tumor. If I I had several tumors, this procedure wouldn't be optimal (when I had several tumors, it was chemo that got rid of all the tumors). But, in my case, where I have this same area continue to be a problem, I'm a great candidate! Praise Jesus!! The procedure is moderately invasive and I will be sore. I will be sent home with pain meds (those who know me know I HATE pain meds and will tough it out as much as I can but will probably have to take some). I might be "down" for about a week. After that, we will monitor like normal. THANK YOU ALL! 🏻 1w

browneyedgirlygirl This picture is a metaphor, as Todd carries, leads & supports Palmer every single day. He's a friend to Palmer but more importantly, he's a Father. He doesn't give him every single thing he wants. He offers him advice where it's needed. He corrects him when it's mandatory. He loves him ever single minute. Happy Fathers Day to Todd. {this picture was made this morning as they loaded Palmer's trunk for two weeks at @camphighharbour }. 1w

browneyedgirlygirl My dad. I've always adored him. His childhood was not an easy one at all. Times were tough for a lot of our dads. I tear up when I read our family history and things he endured. Dad overcame his circumstances. By working super hard, educating himself (via scholarships & later putting himself through school to earn his Masters). He insured that we never went hungry (as he had) and always had what we needed (he did not, he was left to fend for himself over and over again, practically raising younger siblings himself). We had his full love and attention. I was never scared when my dad was around. He always made me feel safe. He came to all of our ball games (softball & basketball) even though he was always in demand at work (poultry industry -need I say more?). He sacrificed and gave. Even to this day, he still calls me his baby girl, hugs me tightly and pets my head. That's my dad. Thank you Dad for making sure our childhood was the opposite of yours and loving us so tenderly. @psgarr2012 @click0323 @jeanna_i 1w

browneyedgirlygirl Welp, he's ready for two weeks at @camp_high_harbour @camphighharbour ! Trailblazers & Watersports comin right up! Something tells me that my hours of packing (yes, I googled that video on how to roll the shirts!) is all for my satisfaction only. For the record, I did tell @peemer13546 that I didn't expect it to took like this when we pick him up. I am pretty proud of this packing job though He could survive for 10 years with everything in here! You would think this would be it but he he has a totally separate bag with his sleeping bag, pillow, blanket, a ball hat, two towels, a light backpack and two other pairs of shoes in it! 🌝 2w
