brennnns Sometimes when your lifting isn't going as planned, it isn't always because your strength isn't there.. It could be something as simple as a change in your setup that you overlooked, today being an example. Normally after a bad day I would tell myself I need to rest, but sometimes you just gotta yolo. (An excerpt taken straight from the yolo method ebook) Long story short my benching sucked earlier bar path felt off, no tightness. No leg drive. Still made my lifts but nowhere near how I wanted them. I got really mad at myself. Thought about what it could be, looked back at my training log. Told myself i could try again and "hope the strength is there" or correct the technique errors I was making. I ate dinner. Went back outside and proved to myself that I was right.
Redid my spotos without a spot or hand off this time (YOLO method), then benched 10 singles of 225 to enforce a consistent setup. This is my last single at 225 for today.

brennnns 370 for 5 hard ass doubles. This is my last set of squats for the day.
Having the hardest time with shoulder mobility right now and it's showing in my squats. No upper back tightness and bar is higher on my back, so my bar path sucks.
This is opener range for me so I'm happy though.
Now it's time to do some beltless pulls.

  •   brennnns Something in that area. This is my usual grip but the increased bench volume has really been tightening the whole area up. Any mobility tips? @jcfifty 1w
  •   jcfifty I know that's your normal grip and it's a biceps tendon killer. Shows up on bench and bench volume. You need to bring inflammation down more than anything else. Ice your both shoulders, get a micro current on it if possible and get to a chiropractor. Squat with a safety squat bar for a month to give it a rest. Rest it brother before it tears like mine did. That was a year ago and I am still not back to where I was @brennnns 1w

brennnns Feeling really beat up, but here's my last set of 240 for 6 sets of 4. Not as clean as I would've liked them to be, upper back tightness and the mobility just wasn't there today.
This is in the opener range from last meet though so I'm happy with the progression.

  •   brennnns Nah man I moved I twice, you can just unscrew the anchors with a ratchet and redrill the holes with a hammer drill. You could mount it on a couple of long 2x4s and I think you'd be alright though. @hk_grip 2w
