bloodyberrylicious A pretty bird told me that I just topped 4.5k followers-which means giveaway time! @bayliejustine please email or DM me your shipping info so I can send you a sweet little prize. If you didn't win this time-fret not! For every 500 followers gained, I'm giving a handmade prize to a randomly selected follower (I spin around 3 times while scrolling very fast through my followers list, and whoever my finger lands on is the winner.) It's my way of saying a big thanks for letting me share art, taxidermy, and love with you 3d

bloodyberrylicious Thanks @thebonery for making today an amazing mail day!!!! I'm so excited to work on this little fox and the stillborn goat (not pictured). This is all part of a long art/jewelry trade that's happening between us-Suzi is a total sweetheart and if you need snake hoops, or other bony things, she's your gal 4d

bloodyberrylicious Sneak peek of a bilateral gynandromorph gaff I'm working on with domestically raised honeycreepers. A student of mine received some domestic birds from an aviary and they weren't all in great shape. He got tired of trying to work with small, fiddly things and was kind enough to think of me and how I love anything small and forgotten! Bilateral gynandromorphism is a rare condition where an animal is half male, half female, expressing the traits symmetrically. There are a number of theories on how this occurs (two sperm entering one egg, two embryos fusing, sex cells not separating fully after cell division) and I've always wanted to study an animal with this condition in real life, or help preserve one. After seeing the condition of these beauties, I decided to make this gaff to make the most of each specimen, and combine a bit of fantasy with weird science. I'm still patching feathers, but getting excited for how this is moving along. #roguetaxidermy #friendsforevertaxiermy 4d

bloodyberrylicious #tbt to some student work from a past bunny class! Other than creating this adorable bunny mount from start to finish, this student made the hat in class, and brought in a mini version of a book her friend wrote to make her anthropomorphic rabbit display. (The painters tape served as temporary support while the adhesive between book and paw dried). Between pink bunnies, zombie bunnies, and just plain cute bunnies, I'm always amazed by student work. Still a few spots available in the June rabbit class at @morbidanatomy, hop on in before tickets are gone. Tickets on my website, linked in location tag above. #learntaxidermy #nyctaxidermyclass #brooklyntaxidermyclass #taxidermyteacher #taxidermyclass #taxidermyinstructor #rabbittaxidermyclass 4d
  •   s.killy Will you ever come to London and do a class ??? I'd love to learn 4d
  •   bloodyberrylicious @s.killy quite possibly! I've come to London before with The Last Tuesday Society-it was fun and it's one of my favorite cities. In the meantime, I know they do classes with other instructors, and I know that the talented Kim Zoe Wagner offers classes too! 3d
  •   s.killy Okay great :) thanks for the advice I'll look her up :) 3d

bloodyberrylicious Awesome mail day! A breeder friend sent me these two beauties (and some other little treats!) Pictured is an Australian Crested Dove and a Sulawesi Ground Dove. Although they aren't in pristine condition, I still think they're totally beautiful and I'm more than happy to honor their memory by preserving them. 5d

bloodyberrylicious My #wcw is the beautiful, talented, otherworldly @fkatwigs, who I was lucky to meet briefly and see perform last night in "Congregata". Other than a multi-sensory feast, including laser curtains, LED violins, serious vogue, and fantastic dancing, she showed how beautiful it is to be both extremely strong and extremely vulnerable. Too often we bury our emotions or mistake those who feel soft and deeply for weak-but strength is so much more than being hardened. 5d

bloodyberrylicious Simple but dramatic little dancing mouse from today's anthropomorphic mouse taxidermy class at the Morbid Anatomy Museum. This student turned a lowly piece of sculpting foam into such a lux little base! Lots of cute pieces today, thanks to everyone who came out!!! 1w

bloodyberrylicious Re-posting from the talented @averose13 who is known for her intricate small wonders, like her watchbots. They're all made from real watch parts and gears, and they move/function. I'm speechless that she named this one after me! 2w
  •   bloodyberrylicious Other than having beautiful work, she's working on a series's or charity to cure a rare disease-check out her page to for more! 2w
  •   averose13 Aw, thanks for sharing my work! I've been inspired the beauty of you and your work since the night we met! 2w

bloodyberrylicious A photo of my World Show entry before it was submitted/while grooming in the hotel bathroom. I had an amazing time and learned so much and from amazingly talented and experienced masters. This was my first traditional taxidermy competition, and it was beyond cool meeting artists who I've only read about in books or seen in videos. I can't wait to do this again in 2 years! What a great opportunity to share company among some amazing artists and make new friends. Now to time to put all that new knowledge into action for the GSTA show next month!!!! 2w

bloodyberrylicious Part of my haul from the World Taxidermy Show. Normally I hate shopping but when it comes to tools and supplies, I geek out. I have no idea when I'll use these eyes, but I know these teeny tiny curved needles are going to be my favorite. 2w
