beedeephoto We are en route to Zambia now. I already miss our hosts, the Maza family. We're spending the last day in Zimbabwe explorin' and sipping on some much needed lattes. I'm so grateful for how the Lord completely redeemed this month! 1d

beedeephoto Corn is everywhere, satza is Zimbabwe's staple food & it's a corn based porridge that we eat with almost every meal. I love the fact that Zimbabweans make the most out of everything they have. 4d

beedeephoto I'm so grateful for all the littles that I've met this year. This is my sweet friend, Jackaina and his little sister, Praise. He has the best smile and is such a great helper. I'm really going to miss the beautiful people of Gokwe.

beedeephoto My favorite part of this weekend was being able to wash the feet of the women around us and pray with them. The Holy Spirit took over that place & stirred such love and compassion over them. "...and they will know that you are My disciples, by the way that you love." John 13:35

beedeephoto This weekend, we hosted a Beauty for Ashes event here in Gokwe. Women travelled on foot for miles to come and learn more about Jesus, see what it means to be open and vulnerable with each other, share their story and discover their worth in Him. We learned so much about their culture & even though it was challenging at times it was such a beautiful way to celebrate our sisters in Christ and learn how to co-lead a women's retreat with the ladies on my team. I just love them so much.

beedeephoto Thank you so much to everyone who has been praying for me & encouraging me during my time here in Africa. God's been teaching me so much while I'm here and this month has gotten so much better. Your prayers are definitely heard and my heart has been lighter these days, so a huge THANK YOU. Seriously, you are all the best. Also, one of my favorite things about the lifestyle in Zimbabwe is that everyone cooks outside and it's a community event. I love these moments.

beedeephoto Most days on the race, my heart is happy. I've been to some incredible places and met some people that will forever hold a love in my heart. However, there are days where I just feel sick - physically, emotionally and spiritually. Living outside of our comfort zones every day is hard. In Africa, we have very humble living conditions. We don't have coffee everyday, we don't have running water, we don't have beds, we don't have electricity in most places. But what we do have is community. We have a family that brings us closer to Jesus when times are hard. We have brothers and sisters who will do everything they can to make us feel comfortable when we're sick or cold or feeling lonely. I've been focusing on so much on the negative around me and feeling sorry for myself and my lack of this or my lack of that. I've decided that I'm done living my life with those negative thoughts. I'm casting my burdens on the Lord and because of that He's trading my sorrows for gladness. This photo means a lot to me because this was one of the first days that I laughed out loud. It's been my favorite day in Zimbabwe so far. We were walking through a village, preaching the gospel and I was so happy to see mud huts for the first time. We were dancing and worshipping and just thanking God for all that He's given us. I'm so grateful to finally be in the land where my roots are from. It's hard at times being here and the lifestyle is incredibly humbling, but the Spirit of God is so tangible and so alive! There really is something special about Africa. #11n11 #beedeeworldrace #zimbabwe 2w
