beckarobinson If you would have asked me two years ago if I saw myself being a fitness mentor I would have laughed hysterically in your face. Then, maybe cried. Let's be honest. Because I was so stuck and saw no way out. I was exhausted from trying every "diet" and emotionally sapped from all the energy I was using up to hate on myself.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
But little by little, day by day the shift happened. It took me a year to dig myself out. I'll be honest with you, lasting change doesn't happen overnight. Healthy habits don't just appear. You can't re-wire all the negative shit in your brain in a weekend. But... You are not a tree. You are not stuck. You can pick yourself up and DECIDE to take 1 step in the right direction. Then decide to take another. Then another. Replace the energy sucking people in your life with ones that lift you up. Find your tribe! Be consistent in the little things. And then all of a sudden you'll be posting photos of your face now and 2 years ago side by side shocked that the person on the left was ever you because you feel sooooo different now that remembering yourself as that person is almost like trying to recall a dream as it slips away. 💭

Let me tell you again, YOU ARE NOT STUCK. You can decide. You can take that next right step. Then another. I'm happy to help you. But even if you don't want my help just know that you can do it! Take that step. Find your tribe. Don't give up.

beckarobinson Why I do what I do. Why I work hard every day. It's because I want him to live a life of freedom. Freedom from health issues that can be prevented. Freedom from the limitations so many of us grow up believing. Freedom to see the world and pursue his passions without worry. I want to be as present as possible in his life and to me, that means having the freedom to work a "job" that gives me complete flexibility! And one that rewards me for making health a priority in our family. Why not, right? I feel like I've stumbled upon the holy grail! 6d

beckarobinson When I want to eat my feelings it usually means I want to eat Snickers candybar bites. So now instead I make a snickers smoothie. So good and it is actually good for me. 1 packet vegan chocolate shakeology, 1 cup vanilla almond milk, 1 cup water, 1 tsp almond butter, 1 tap PB, a sprinkle of coconut flakes, a drop or two caramel extract and ice! Blend till it's like a milkshake and try not to get a brain freeze when you gulp it down! 6d

beckarobinson #WOD was at home after 90 minutes of yoga is 21 Day Fix Extreme Lower Fix. Leg day (ouch!) is made better by my glowy shelves full of uplifting truckers like my note from @daniellelaporte and my Polaroid from Cancun with @carldaikeler and some feathers and crystals and nicks and nacks. For so long my workout room was in my living room surrounded by a dog, a toddler, cracker crumbs, dinosaur toys, games of tag, and lots of chaotic energy. I'm so thankful now that I have this quiet sanctuary that I can make sacred and enjoy my time alone with myself. Even if you don't have a separate room I challenge you to create some sort of small scare space that is just for you. 6d
